Murdering by mistake

"Three two one..." Brandon immediately stood up and gave the man a hard punch on his face.

 Considering it was an unexpected attack, the man staggered and the gun fell off his hand. 

 Beatrice quickly picked the gun and put the man on gunpoint. But Brandon was immediately held by one of the goons. 

"Drop the gun now!" The one holding Brandon screamed.

 Beatrice couldn't think, why didn't Brandon think of this before risking his life. 

"You have 30 seconds, or else both of them would die" He threatened again. "10 seconds remaining" He cocked the gun. 

Beatrice took a deep breathe, slowly she was about to drop the gun when Brandon yelled her name.
