One Hundred and Twenty Six.

As expected, Alpha Colt tried to make me stay. It was weird, not feeling that pull of an order. Or the pain when I tried to break it. I could see that it was annoying him.

I had walked out that front door like nothing could stop me. For a moment, I froze, not because of Alpha Colt, but because of the sun. But it does nothing, other than warm my skin.

As Lycans, we didn’t tend to mix with vampires, so I wasn’t even sure what I was truly capable of other than my desire to drink blood.

Making my way to the gates, the guards just stare at me, because I was supposed to be dead.

“Linc?” One asks, though I could hear the slight wobble in his voice

“Yes.”

“You are supposed to be dead?”

“I am. Now open the gates.”

He stares at me for a little longer. “Where are you going?”

“I have a job to do.”

He turns to look at the other guards and they shrug their shoulders. All of their hearts were racing.

“Alpha Colt knows?” The guard asks.

“Yes. Now are you going to open the gates or am I going to
