Daphne

Linc kept glancing at me as Alpha Colt was explaining everything to Lilah. I still had no idea how he knew that I had killed someone.

It was a few months before I met Lilah. And it was in self defence.

It had been a scorching hot day. My skin was burnt from the sun as I had no protection. I had barely eaten in days. The water that I had was almost gone. I had no energy left and all I could do was sit here, in this overgrown corner.

A bottle was thrown into my lap, I remember his words. “Drink, we don’t need another one dying.”

I had just about opened my eyes to see a man with olive skin, standing over me. His hair slicked back, sunglasses hiding his eyes.

“What do you mean, another one?” I had murmured the words. My lips were so dry and chapped that it made it difficult to talk.

He didn’t answer my question. He had just told me to drink. I was so thirsty that I drank the entire bottle.

“Good girl.” He had muttered before pulling me to my feet.

I can only get to chapter 70 but it looks like there are 72 chapters. what's going on?
