“Why don’t you ladies go grab something to eat. I need to speak to Grant.” I try and offer a smile but Lilah wasn't buying it. Instead she frowns at me. She never liked it when I said I needed to speak to someone. I had no doubt that she would question me later.

“You better be nice to him.” She mutters through our mindlink as she walks away.

“Only if he is telling the truth.”

She flicks her long raven hair over her shoulder and scowls. “What is that supposed to mean?”

“I will explain later.”

Grant watches them walk away as well. “You let her come here but you wouldn’t let Sophie?”

“It was the only way I could get Lilah to come back.”

“Why?”

“For some reason Lilah likes her. They get along so well. She actually doesn’t seem to force the friendship not like she did with that other girl, Halle. Halle was a friend, but not in the same way as these are.”

“I don’t trust her.”

“You don’t have too. But you need to play nice. She is Lilah’s friend. She is Linc’s… Well I don’t know
