"Bella, that diamond necklace is exquisite," Elise said, admiring the jewelry Chad had given me that morning. It was part of a matching set that also included a diamond tiara.

Chad's fingers felt warm against my skin as he placed the necklace around my neck, gently moving my hair over my shoulder before fastening it.
