Chad's POV

A fist landed on my jaw, making me stumble back. Dane laughed as I rubbed my chin. I had been distracted thinking about the fucking mess Hendrick's presence had brought with him here.

"What's going on with you, Chad? You're very distracted today." Dane asked, still amused. He was particularly cheerful today. Elise had told him that they were expecting their first child. I was genuinely happy for both of them.
