Hendrick's POV

The days passed in a blur. Bella continued to sneak out to practice her magic on me, all without Chad's knowledge. I had never suspected that she was a witch before. She asked me to keep her secret from Chad, worried he might hate her if he found out. I know my brother well; he would forgive her instantly, even if she stabbed him. He was utterly in love with her, and I was fucking terrified that I might be falling for her as well.

She put her hands on my bare chest as she closed her eyes and whispered some spells. I sighed, relishing her touch. If Chad happens to walk on us at this moment, he will lose it, but I don't care as long as I get to enjoy her touch and closeness.
