Chapter Seventy-Four

Slumber party.

Lance places me down on the ground, slowly to ensure I climb down his height without falling. Once my feet touch the ground I spin around to smile at Mav. Lance’s grip on my hips is possessive but I want to greet Mav nonetheless. I pull his hands off me and walk over to Mav who I embrace in a hug.

“Hi Mav, Colette misses you. She’s got heartburn, so eating lots of ice cream to make up for it.” I smile at him, passing on the sweet message from his wife.

“What was her excuse for her ice cream consumption before pregnancy.” Mav chuckles shaking his head.

I greet Tucker with a hug and a kiss on the cheek before wondering why they were here.

“I didn’t expect to see you three tonight, I thought you would be in the alpha house?” I ask turning to Lance. I don’t miss the glance the four of them give each other as I use the word house and not home.
