Chapter One Hundred & Eight

Not a good patient.

I couldn’t breathe! I was kicking and clawing at the male on top of me holding my throat in his hands. Moments from death I look up over my head at the male that had just entered the room. No it can’t be? He is dead. I was there when he died. He’s looking at me with regret, he didn’t want this, he didn’t want me like this. What did he want, to talk? We were beyond talking. If he really was alive, I’d kill him with my own hands.

“Aida…Aida wake up.” Lance’s gentle voice calls to me in my sleep. It’s like being called to the safety of a lighthouse in the darkest and stormiest of seas. I must have fallen asleep in his arms. His regular steady breathing creating a calming repetitive rhythm that was similar to being rocked to sleep.

“Lance?” I had forgotten about my throat before I called out his name. It still stung but I could now at least talk. It was hoarse sounding, but it could be understood.

“Aida?” He greets my voice with a kiss to my neck, which leads me to

so I'm sure you may be enjoying spring break with the family and I don't want to try and predict what is next for Aida but I love this book it has me hooked and has me checking several times a day for updates, even while camping I would find reasons to sneak away to find service. thank you.
