Before noon the next day, Calvin found himself at a park, leaning on a tree trunk , waiting for Charlene. The air was humid and though the sun was high up in the sky, the trees provided shade, covering the grounds. At the appointed time, the members of Pentagon were already seated in the conference room, ready for the meeting the grand alpha scheduled for six o'clock. The room was brightly lit and sparsely furnished. There was a big screen, a huge table was at the middle having the shape of a Pentagon and five seats surround the edges, one for each member. With the cold breeze hitting harshly against her window, Charlene could barely get any sleep. The night was long and dawn was slow in coming. She had slept for what she believed was hours and had awakened, only to find out that it was just a little past midnight.It had been almost two hours and she had been unable to go back to sleep. The meeting at the Pentagon lasted till about four in the morning. By this time, everyone was already exhausted.
