STRUCK BY THE LIGHTNING

Sia woke up groggily. She felt that something was off. You know that feeling we get as if the landscape has changed on us. She couldn’t put a finger on why she was feeling so weird.

She yawned and stretched her arms. The strong rays of the sun had already streamed in through the open window.

“When did I leave the window open.” She muttered as she got up. Then it dawned on her. Wasn’t she waiting for Sam to come to the Viper’s rock? She had been so delighted when he came. She managed to tell him her story with great difficulty.

“But, what reply did he give?” She wondered scratching her head. She couldn’t remember his response. Oh! Yeah….She had fainted.

She looked around her room and muttered, “ How did I reach here?”

She recalled that someone held her when she fainted. It must have been Sam. A wide smile spread on her lips. Still, she had to confirm it with Sam.

She felt a hammering sensation in her head. She decided to make some coffee first. She went to open her door to get milk.
