Zombies In Texas
"Ma, I'm off to the football training," I said, all dressed in my customized white and blue football jersey, I dropped the soccer ball I was holding to fasten my boots buckle."Don't stay out too late," My mum said, she's a very simple woman who allows me to do whatever I want (so far it's nothing illegal or bad)."I won't," I answered as grabbed my bag and exited my house.Hi, I'm Jason, Jason Abraham, I clocked eighteen last week, definitely the most memorable birthday I've ever done! I live alone with my mum. My dad is or let me say was a crazy scientist who enjoys performing stupid and absurd experiments on me. My mum couldn't watch him kill her only-begotten child with his baseless experiments, so she divorced him and we moved to Austin, Texas and we've been living alone since then. I read books a lot, In fact, I have an alarm set to 7:30 pm every day to remind me to read a new book. And Yeah, I'm done with college and expecting to the admitted to the unive

The Man From The Parallel World
After about 50 minutes, Hannah returned with food. She made Breakfast Buritto.“Thank You!!!” Ambrose said as he started eating, apart from the fact that he was hungry, he loves Burrito!“Thank you, Hannah,” I said and started eating too.I finished eating and drank water. It felt so satisfying. “We have enough for lunch, but for dinner, not so sure,” Hannah said.“Then we’d have to go get groceries tonight,” I said and they both looked at him.“Jason, first of all, there are God damn Zombies walking freely on the streets, and no grocery store will be open!” Hannah lamented.“Wasn’t planning on buying groceries,” I said.“Are you suggesting we loot?” Ambrose retorted.“Yes, I am. We have no other choice, do we?” I asked. Hannah continuously shook her head in disagreement.“No...No...No! We won’t risk ou

I'm Different
“How will you do that?” I asked.“With science... and of course, you,” He said, pointing at me.“Me? Why what have I got to do with this?” I asked out of curiosity.“Your father created this virus, Jason,” He said and it felt like a bomb to my ears.Wow, just wow! more and more reasons for me to hate the old guy that gave birth to me. Because of what he created, my friend is a zombie!“He’s not my father, not anymore,” I said.“I understand your anger, Jason. But the truth is, your father meant no harm for the world, he actually wanted to save a lot of lives with science just like my own is doing with technology and several other dads of us in other worlds. In life, we make mistakes, and that’s what happened in his case,” He said.“So, he is the only failure of his kind,” I said.“You said he could help put an end to this, how?

The End
12 HOURS LATERDarius came out of the lab with a tired face. He smiled at us and voluntarily fell on the chair out of tiredness.“You did it?” I asked and he nodded positively.“We need to test if it actually works,” He said.“Should we do it tomorrow?” Hannah asked, he nodded in disagreement. “Let’s not waste time,” He said and got back on his feet and proceeded back to the basement, we followed him.He gave me two syringes that contained the vaccine he made. I injected the two zombies with the vaccines and they screamed. In pain? I don’t know. They both went unconscious. We waited for 30 minutes, but nothing happened.“Let’s check back tomorrow morning,” Darius said and we all left the basement to get some sleep.THE NEXT MORNING“Wake up people!” Darius yelled, we both woke up to Bread and tea. We quickly devoured it like hungry

Thank You!
My sincere thanks to you for reading the short book, Epidemic. This is actually my first sci-fi and zombie type of story, but I hope I did well, and I'll surely work more on improving myself.I wrote this book in a day without even planning for it before (LOL). A colleague of mine asked for one of my works to be added to an anthology he is currently working on. He specified it must be sci-fi, I've never written any sci-fi book before, so I had to quickly put down something. It's kinda funny, I know. Thanks once again, and yeah, Let me know your thoughts by dropping a comment!
