We joined alpha and luna on the sectional and alpha asked, “So how was your meeting?” I sat the donuts and turnovers on the table in the middle of us and replied, “Enlightening… to say the least.”

Isaac added, “Stone and Alex have made a couple discoveries that we need to talk about.”

I looked at the clock and gasped as I jumped out of my seat, “I’m sorry everyone. I have an appointment that I need to get to. I’ll come back as soon as I’m done.” Isaac jumped up with me, “Where?”

I shook my head, “It’s no big deal. I always have a yearly check up on my birthday. My grandmother’s stomach cancer made me want to make sure I go every year to be checked out, as a precaution. You go ahead and tell them what we learned. I will come back as soon as I’m done.” Isaac and luna smiled, “Okay. I can do this alone, I guess.”

I kissed Isaac and smiled, “I’m positive you can. You got this far without me.”
