Chapter 27

When we reached our house, we got out of the car and Queen Winnie was standing on the porch. I looked at Isaac and chuckled as he let out a low growl. When I reached the porch, I asked, “Is there any chance we can have a couple days off?”

She furrowed her brow and asked, “Why?” I answered with a suggestive expression, “The doctor cleared me for normal activity.”

She looked at me with a confused expression. I laughed when I could see the light bulb above her head illuminate, “OH! Of course! I will be back the day after tomorrow. Isaac, be prepared to carve some time out of your schedule to train.” Isaac laughed, “I sure will. Thank you, Queen Winnie.”

Winnie looked at me, “You are going to mark each other, right?” I nodded, “We are.” She smiled, “Perfect. I will see you both later then.” I laughed, “Thank you so much, Queen Winnie.”
