Chapter 22

King Lucas

The morning came fast when my tracker called, telling me that he saw them leave. This morning, shit I didn't think they would leave for another day. But I guess they wanted to surprise me and see what it's all about. So I asked him to try and follow them, have a few of the other trackers follow them to keep them safe from harm. I didn't think they would need bodyguards, but just in case, I knew once the packs figured out that they were coming, some of them must challenge them, even the rogues. That's a bad idea, but hopefully, they will be arriving safely. I was running about the castle, trying to make sure the cleaners were vacuuming and changing the sheets and pillowcases on the bed. 

“But your highness, we changed them yesterday?”

“I don’t care, do it again. They will be arriving soon. I want everything clean again, make sure everything is dusted and polished. The sheets better be on the bed the right way, no wrinkles. I want the blankets like that as well,” they bowed than said, “Yes, your highness.” I knew I was being a little pushy, but I wanted everyone to come here with a clean house. I want them to walk inside here and not smell anything but cleanliness, that's all. I even had them clean the windows again. Lucas walked inside and looked around, then at me.

“Dude, calm down. They won’t be here until maybe late tonight. They are going to be too tired to want to look around this damn castle or even care about it smelling good. I think as long as they get a bed to lay on they will be just fine. Chill out, here's the menu that Sasha made up: stuffed baked potatoes with steak the first night, then you go from there. Just make sure the cooks get this so they won’t be making the same thing over and over again.” I got it, I was so tired of the same shit too, I don’t know why they did that. Come on, let's go there now; that way, I can calm my ass down. When the tracker Curtis called me again, he had told me what had happened. Oh, I was pissed. How dare they try shit with my guest? Those rogues will not be a pack any longer. I sent guards to their territory; I told them to burn down their pack houses. And whoever does not run, kill. They will learn not to mess with my guests.

"Lucas, Lucas,"

"What, Moon, what do you want? Right now, I don’t have time. People are trying to kill our guests."

"You have time for this. The girl will be shifting soon; she is a wolf and lycan. I think she is our mate, but I won't be able to tell until she is here."

"Why the h3ll didn’t you tell me this before? Not only am I worried about them, but I have to worry about our mate as well."

"Don’t worry too much. Our mate is a badass. Don’t rush her when they get here; she won’t like that at all. Give her time."

"Fine, I'll give her a few days, and then after she will be mine."

*Moon, Lucas Lycan POV*

I had a feeling that the girl was our mate. I just couldn’t stop thinking about her. When I saw that video and her eyes, I just couldn’t help but want to watch it over and over again. The way she stood up from that couch, shooting that guy in the kneecaps, I winced because I was glad it wasn’t me getting shot. I knew I shouldn’t tell my human. I wanted to talk to her wolf and lycan first when they got here, but I'm wishing they were already here so I will know for sure that she was our mate. I ended up telling my human; I knew he was already pissed because rogues were out trying to kill them, they didn’t want them to make it here.

"Lucas, Lucas,"

"What, Moon, what do you want? Right now, I don't have time. People are trying to kill our guests."

"You have time for this. The girl will be shifting soon; she is a wolf and lycan. I think she is our mate, but I won't be able to tell until she is here.”

Why the h3ll didn’t you tell me this before? Not only am I worried about them, but I have to worry about our mate as well.” 

“Don’t worry too much, our mate is a badass. Don’t rush her when they get here; she won’t like that at all. Give her time.” 

“Fine, I'll give her a few days, and then, after, she will be mine.” I wanted to argue with him. I wanted to tell him he cannot rush her. She might just kick our asses, but as always, he won’t listen to me. He's a man whore, screwing every female that would open her legs to him. The moon goddess I kept them from marking him. They would try so hard until I came forward, threatening them by ripping their heads off. Lucas had to remind them that it was just sex. They didn’t like it, but they had their hopes up, with him choosing them to be his queen. I was so grateful he decided to stop *bleep*ing them. They are so *bleep*ing annoying, moaning his name. Sometimes I just go in the back of his head so I can’t hear them. I can’t stand these female voices. They annoy the crap out of me. All I want to do is rip their throats out. The only one I want to see and *bleep* is our mate. I have a feeling that she’s going to give Lucas a hard time. These bitches will lie to her and make her hate us. I will need to get prepared for it. I need to let Lucas know, but something tells me that he won’t believe me. That's the reason why I haven't told him my real name. He thinks it's Moon, but it's actually King. I’m a very old lycan that has been around longer than Lucas thinks. I was with his grandfather, and his grandfather before that, and so on. I am half a million years old. People do not know about me. Once Lucas realizes this, and we are together as one, we will be a lot stronger and more powerful. I’ve wanted to tell him for a long time now, but he thinks he was the one that rules this roost. Well, wait until he sees me. We have shifted many times, but I transform into a much stronger Lycan each time. People bow down to me when I come to the surface. It won’t be long before he realizes this, and I will no longer hide it. The moon goddess picked me to be his lycan. She told me it wasn’t time for me to take my rest yet. I will be with one more person, and that is Lucas. Once it's his time to go, then it will be my turn to rest. Until then, I will kick anyone’s *bleep* who tries to hurt my mate.
