Chapter 22: Go Before I Drag You!
Lucas went out of the Null Room holding his almost crushed arm. He staggered towards the door and barely managed to stand after being hit by that metal rod earlier. He started to have trouble with his breathing and he smelled the strong scent of his own blood.
He tried to stand up again and suddenly felt his body falling. He decided to use his broken arm to support himself as he bumped the wall instead. The pain intensified as he laid his back on the wall with his weakened knees. His back had been hit many times.
It was a few meters before he reached the open door. He held the doorway and fell on his knees. His whole body later fell and lay on the floor as he closed his eyes. The pain was so severe that he felt he was about to die. Those guys have to pay for this!
He opened his eyes to witness that he was now outside the Null Room. He was facing the floor of the hall
Chapter 23: There's No Other Option"Is the dosage enough?""We can add more.""But that would hurt him.""He's Lucas. He can take it."Lucas felt a thin and sharp object entering some portion of his skin from his right arm. He could feel the strange sensation of the fluid flowing out of it and sipping into his body. The effect it brought was painful to him. He almost winced as he felt that he was laying down on a bed; he felt like floating."I told you, the dosage is too much. I'm worried.""Lucas can handle that dose."He finally felt the whole effect of that fluid inside him. It was the most painful thing he knew! More painful than the Null Room incident. It felt like he was banging his head on the wall. He closed his eyes hardly because of the pain. After which, he started to familiarize himse
Chapter 24: Suspects of the IncidentThe meeting finished earlier than Lucas had expected. Principal Lyns was also called by the other headteachers for another meeting regarding the Overall Skill Selection so she had to go. Lucas and the rest got out from the conference room and went to their separate ways. The rest of them proceeded to their apartment while Lucas headed straight to the hallway to the gymnasium. Moon headed out elsewhere and he can sense that his cousin has still some grudges on him. After some days, he walked towards the main hall as usual. The hall was, at some point, a shortcut towards the White Day High's outside. But, however, not all of the students were staring at him like they used to. Some were busy like having a hectic schedule. They carried boxes that were filled with materials for stage designing. He knew all of those boxes. Those were what they used when he was proving his Godly Potential.
Chapter 25: Embarrassed LucasLucas, Moon, and Doll rushed down to the hall as the emcee commenced the start of the White Day High's Founding Anniversary. It seemed that the three of them were the only remaining people left. Moon and Doll headed in the other direction as Lucas was left as he started to rethink what Doll had told them. There were assassins from Aspho that wanted to know who those students Principal Lyns was handpicking. For what? To be prepared for the tournament? To know whom to block and whom to defeat? Such cheaters. He started slowing down his pace and walked in silence through the gate of the gymnasium and as he approached closer to the doors where the anniversary slash assassin hunting was being held. He was slowly hearing several noises from the people inside— chatting, laughing, clinking sounds of champagne glasses, footsteps from their shoes ringing on the marble floor.
Chapter 26: Love Team in the MakingLucas can hear that the ceremony from the gymnasium was going on still. As it continued, he was at a secluded area with Moon. He can see the whole stage even from afar, as he was facing the other direction in comparison to how Moon stared at him earlier. Suddenly, he heard his cousin chuckle at the words he previously said. It seemed that it was a joke for him. What was there to laugh about? His mood gradually turned back into normal as he overlooked Doll that was currently climbing the stairs after being called by the emcee. She held the hem of her skirt as she stepped on towards the stage as she walked elegantly.Amidst the events, they were staring at Doll that was now onstage. Curious about his cousin's reaction, Lucas looked back and saw some gratefulness from Moon's face, a look that spoke for itself; genuine happiness that Doll was handpicked. His cousin loo
Chapter 27: The Loss that Caused a LifeThe Founding Anniversary finished earlier than Lucas had expected. Or maybe, he was just overthinking what had happened to him that night; his worst night. Those people roasted him as he had expected. He was right; that is what will happen when all of the people found out the truth. All of them hated him now. On his mind, he deserved all of this. Yet, it wasn't the only one he thought about after exiting the Anniversary. How he had seen Doll yesterday… he should neglect that sensation, or else, he will create another trouble that he can't afford to have. But above of those problems he currently has, his vision became intacted again into winning the game for the whole White Day High. He will fight for their school. Why were those stakeholders even angry at someone that was handpicked and was a few inches away from joining the tournament? They should be thankful.
Chapter 28: The Girl from the SickbayWhile walking on the canopy of the White Day High to find Moon anywhere in here, Lucas has Doll by his side as they wandered. He kept himself quiet, or maybe he was shut because of an unknown reason.Given Doll's presence and that the two of them were alone this time, Lucas felt strange. He didn't know what made him feel that way. But as long as he kept himself quiet and his gaze onto elsewhere, he thought to himself that he can mend it.The information he had heard from Doll was still fresh on his mind. Now, he was not aware of where Principal Lyns or Coach Clive currently resides. Important people like them never wandered carelessly within places like this.It was afternoon already and at some time, they can go home. He didn't know but this day was kinda boring. After finding out some important things regarding the tournament, it didn't create an impact on him.
Chapter 29: Respect Begets RespectIn a white room.It was the room where Lucas spent his day until he was healed from his Null Room incident: the Infirmary Room. Again, he was there, laying on a bed with Moon. Time after time and he had gotten into so much trouble. Not to mention that Principal Lyns restricted all of the participants to move without her permission.Visible wounds and bruises marked the skins of the two boys laying on their beds. At the corner of the room, two people waited for them to be awakened again; to talk with them about what had happened. Those two were a boy and a girl. The woman was Pea Hardshell, a member of the Three Beasts. She was known to be the muse of the school, though she wasn't convinced if she deserved to be hailed with that recognition. She wore a hoodie that separated its upper part as pink, and the lower part as cobalt blue. She happened t
Chapter 30: Just a Mere DisturbanceThe renovated canteen remained the same as the previous one, still the same structure and design. The only difference was that the securities became tighter, and the people who can enter it had lessened. It looked like the school didn't want to have a crowded canteen and a stampede again in case of emergencies like before. The tables that were lined up into rows previously became circular that was surrounded by chairs. At a table, Lucas sat there, facing the Headmaster Nova. He didn't know what was his plans, but right now, their aims started to unite into a single goal: to save Doll.At his side was Moon that was not in a mood to listen to the plans they were talking to; with Ghaile and Winter accompanying them with their plan-making since they were worried about Doll; the Headmaster wanted to have Winter with them since he trusted her.Their search party was comp
