“Oh sweetheart, I’m so happy for you.” My mum whispered wrapping me up in a hug as soon as Tristan and I stepped into the ballroom. Decorated extravagantly with flowers and lights for the event the room was completely different from the last time I was in here, and absolutely packed with people.

A band was starting up playing gentle music into the crowd of chatting guests, waiters walked around with trays of canapés and glasses of champagne.

“Thank you.” I smiled trying to ignore everything that was going on around me.

“I’m going to go check in with Roman and Damian.” Tristan murmured from beside me once my mother released me. He pressed a gentle kiss on my cheek that turned to something else entirely when I felt his desire through the bond, and I shifted where I stood rubbing my legs together as I flooded with that heat that only he could induce.
