Chapter 1

Yvonne Caruso was delighted when I remained silent. She scoffed at me. "It's good that you know to be afraid. A hillbilly like you has probably never seen such a luxurious hotel before. Do you think this hotel belongs to your family?

"Just because you're a bimbo who got into the company doesn't mean you deserve a good room."

She pointed at a huge dumpster not far away. "That's where you deserve to live. Don't say I didn't warn you, but someone is going to take that place if you're too late."

I was close to blowing up. A bimbo? Since joining the company, I had worked diligently to complete several projects, all of which I had accomplished on my own merit. I was also the one who had secured several significant investments through networking.

This company was a legitimate business owned by the Carusos. How could she dare accuse me of being a bimbo when I worked my way up from the bottom?

I glared at her as I could no longer take it. "How can you say something like that to me when you don't make any sales, and you're not competent in anything you do?

"You're not the one paying for the employees' team building, the company is. What gives you the right to reduce the budget and save the company's expenses? Does Don Caruso know what a cheapskate his daughter is?"

Everyone burst out laughing at this. I could tell that they were all annoyed at Yvonne as well. She had been creating problems since she joined the company.

Yvonne once complained about our colleague, Lisa Russo, being pregnant as her maternity leave would affect our work. Yvonne went as far as to swap Lisa's pregnancy supplements for abortion drugs. Fortunately, Lisa thought the supplements were strange and did not take them. Otherwise, she would have lost her child.

After that, Yvonne was unhappy with another female colleague, Mona Landry, for using cheap perfume with a scent that irritated her. She switched Mona's perfume for disinfectant, which ended up burning Mona's skin.

That was not all. The worst thing she did was ask for Leon Moretti's help to fix her computer, but she was annoyed with how slow he was while diagnosing the computer's problem. Annoyed, Yvonne splashed coffee on him and caused the computer to short-circuit. If Leon had not been quick to react, he might be dead by now.

When everyone berated her for what she did, all Yvonne did was throw a condescending look at us. "They're all alive, aren't they? They're not worth an apology from me."

Our boss was forced to come forward to apologize on her behalf. Everyone was appeased only after the colleagues she nearly killed were compensated.

I had been wondering why everyone would stop me whenever I wanted to teach her a lesson. They even tried to talk me out of creating a fuss after everything that happened. It turned out it was because she was the 'daughter' of Don Caruso.

When Yvonne saw how brazen I was to berate her, she pointed at my nose and roared, "You really don't know what's good for you, you bitch! How dare you yell at me? This company is able to survive because of the Carusos. Everyone has to listen to what I say. I'm the one who decides who stays and who doesn't!

"All it takes is one call from me and you're dead. Cross me and you'll end up with nowhere to go, much less without a room at this hotel! Get on your knees and apologize right now, or you can end up dead here."

The front desk receptionist was in a panic as she looked at me. "Miss, why don't we…"

I replied stoically, "Give me a presidential suite right now!"

I refused to believe Yvonne had the means to stop me. I had brought the company billions in revenue. Any normal person would know to try to keep me happy in the company.

This was just one presidential suite. If the company did not even have the funds to give me the room, it was probably time for me to change bosses.

The moment I asked for the room, our big-bellied boss, Morty Livingston, appeared in front of us. Yvonne immediately went crying to him as she leaned in close to his ear.

Morty glared at me right away. "Apologize to Yvonne right now, Natalia! Hasn't the company given you enough in bonuses? Why do you enjoy taking advantage of the company so much?"

Yvonne stopped begging, but her eyes were still filled with despair. After the Soldati dragged her off, I turned to look at Monty with a smile. "It's time to settle the score between us, Mr. Livingston."Monty stiffened as he looked at me. He was sweaty all over as he said in a panic, "P-Principessa, I was tricked by Yvonne too. You know how she threatened me by claiming that she was Don Caruso's daughter. I didn't dare to disobey her! I treated you pretty well all this time we were working together, didn't I?"His words made me laugh. "Treated me well? Do you mean how you accused me of using unscrupulous methods to pull in investors and win projects after I helped the company stand on its feet? "Not only did you fire me, but you also gave Yvonne my position and took my bonus from me while blacklisting me within the industry. Is this what you mean by treating me well, Mr. Livingston?"Monty looked extremely nervous. "That's not… I was forced to do it. This was all Yvonne's doing!

He looked at the Soldati impatiently. "I never want to see her appear in front of me again!"As the Soldati got close to Yvonne, she suddenly fell on her knees at my father's feet and started to cry. She grabbed his feet and refused to let go. "Don't do this, Dad. You were the one who brought me up. Can you really bear to abandon me just because I couldn't recognize my sister?"All I want is your approval. What did I do wrong? Why are you treating me this way? I know I'm wrong now. I'll stop harboring foolish hope of you acknowledging me as your daughter. Please let me stay by your side. Don't kick me out!"Yvonne wailed so hysterically that one would think my father was a villain who had abandoned his wife and children. Whispers started to echo in the room when she started making a scene."My gosh! How shocking this is! Yvonne really is Don Caruso's illegitimate daughter!""How can Don Caruso be so heartless? Yvonne is his daughter, after all. How can he stop her from calling him

I was smiling. "When you wanted the Carusos to teach me a lesson, it wasn't a problem for you, but when it's time to prove your identity, it suddenly becomes a problem? Do the Carusos change their principles so easily? "It's fine. Besides Don Caruso, I also know the Consigliere, Joe Cranston. I can get them to make a trip here."Yvonne knocked my phone out of my hand as she screamed while lunging at me, "Natalia, you bitch! Why do you have to be against me!"I frowned slightly and kicked her straight to the ground. This was something I should have done long ago.She stared at me in disbelief, her eyes blazing with fury. "Natalia, how dare you hit me! I'm Don Caruso's daughter! I'll make sure you don't survive the night!"The moment she said that, a strong, dignified voice rang in everyone's ears. "Whose daughter did you say you were?!"Everyone watched in shock as Soldati came flooding into the room to surround the hall. A powerful-looking man in a suit strode slowly into the

It made me wonder why Yvonne was so confident with her actions. Had she ever wondered what consequences she would face once she was exposed?I looked at Yvonne and asked coldly, "Are you really going to contact the Carusos?"Yvonne thought I was scared and replied gleefully, "Scared? Well, I'll give you a chance to spare you. All you need to do is kneel to me and admit you're a slut who's impersonating my sister. Do that, and you might find me in a good enough mood to forgive you."Also, you need to compensate me ten million as the price for impersonating my sister and bringing shame to the Carusos."I burst out laughing. "Do you know how cringey it is to listen to you talk about your 'dad' and 'sister'? Everyone knows that Don Caruso only has one daughter. You said it yourself that his daughter is overseas. So, where did you come from?"The silent room suddenly burst out with commotion when I questioned her."She's right. The Donna passed away not long after giving birth to the

Yvonne looked nervously at the crowd. There was a flash of panic in her eyes. "Don't listen to her. I do have an older sister who has just returned from overseas. She has never appeared in public before, which is why Natalia dares to impersonate her."I know why she's doing this. It's because the company found out she used unscrupulous methods to win those projects and fired her as a result. She's using this opportunity to get revenge on us. That ring must be fake too."Security! What are you waiting for? Throw her out of here!"However, there was only silence. That was when Monty quickly tried to back Yvonne up. "Yvonne is right. Natalia can't be Don Caruso's daughter. If she were really the Carusos' Principessa, why would she willingly work for me and cause such a fuss at the company over a bonus of 100,000? "She's nothing but a troublemaking bitch. Don Caruso could never have a daughter like her. It would be stupid of anyone to believe what she said. "Get her out of here! Na

I smiled. "Go ahead. I'd like to know how you plan to do that." With that, I closed the door in their faces. It hurt to see the research I did for those projects strewn all over the house. I had done so much to help build the company into what it was today, even rejecting my father's help. It never occurred to me that the company would turn its back on me just like that. What a joke I was. That was when Mona suddenly called me. "Natalia, I heard Yvonne went to cause trouble for you again. Don't go fighting head-to-head with her. Mr. Livingston and Yvonne are just momentarily blinded by anger. They won't really make things difficult for you on the job market…"I sneered. Those two were not good enough to threaten me.After I hung up, I went home to the Carusos. My father was surprised to see me come home. "Why are you home? Is it because of work? I haven't informed you yet, but I've got quite a lot on my hands recently. I won't be able to make it to the company's shareholders' meet
