CHAPTER 56

I ran towards him. Shreds of broken vase lay beside him. I went and crouched in front of him. Drops of blood were scattered on the floor. I shuffled his body a little and found that it was from his hand where the IV should have been.

His breathing was barely traceable and I put a finger in front of his nose to confirm. I checked for any more injuries. There were no soaked bandages. I quickly picked him up and carried him to the bed. He weighed nothing and anyone could have assumed him dead if it wasn’t for the slow rhythmic breathing.

The oxygen mask was on the floor so I picked it up and adjusted it to his face. Just like seph had said his body looked ghostly pale. Sheen covered his face. What had happened here? There are no signs of fighting. Nothing looks out of place except the large blanket which he must have tossed out while getting out of the bed.
