Chapter - 3

I came out of the bathroom only to find to Yvonne glaring at me.

"What happened?" I asked, chuckling.

She kept on glaring at me. After a minute or so, she answered, "You've been there inside the bathroom for so long and didn't even answer my callings. I got worried and I want to pee too." She made that emergency alert face which made chuckled more. I sided a bit and laughing, I showed her the way.

"Sorry, I never hear anything when I'm inside the bathroom. It happens all the time so get used to it," I shouted.

"Fine whatever. Next time I'll call you from here if you don't hear me so take your phone with you when you enter. Right now, I have to pee!" She replied, and ran to the bathroom slamming the door in a hurry.

I laughed harder. "Stop laughing loser. I can hear you, unlike you!"

"Okay sure!" I replied, sarcastically, followed by a smirk, making her roll her eyes.

Yetserday, she showed and taught me so many things and stuff I needed to know before joining the college. I got my timetable for all my classes this morning and we checked together if we had any class in common. Turned out we had almost every class in common except for the extra subject.

Yet fortunately, even she took one extra subject in case a paper was bad, then the extra paper could boost our exam results. And by fortunately, I meant like whoever took one extra subject had to stay back after classes three days a week: Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Now, I wasn't going to be alone anymore since I had my friend there.

I walked up to my bed and started thinking of what to wear when she came out of the bathroom, taking relieved breaths, making me laugh quietly. I guess I was just two seconds away from blasting her urinary bladder.

She gave me a deadly glare, "You nearly made me pee on my pants. Anyways, you will be forgiven on only one condition."

"And what is that?"

"There is a party tonight hosted by Jason Baltimore. Everyone is invited and you are going. You can't choose to not go,"

"Okay, where will this party be held? And who is Jason Baltimore?"

"There is a party house nearby owned by Jason's dad so it will be held there. Jason is one of the richest kid here, a womanizer so good girls stay away, including me." She warned.

"You know damn well - I don't date and I don't like being in the dating market,"

"Yes yes, but still, warning you," She said, packing her small backpack. "Anyways, I'm going to the Dean's office right now because Dean says he is disappointed in me for failing last year but he is proud now as I didn't choose to use POP." She added, before waving at me and then, leaving the room.

"Okay bye," I waved back.

I got dressed up and started to put all my clothes inside the closet. The previous night, I unpacked everything but felt too tired and lazy to put everything in place so I slept. This morning, Yvonne woke me up by singing 'Wasabi' by Little Mix. Yeah, it was pretty awful and I told her which made her get really irritated. She then screamed in my ears and stormed off, making me roll my eyes. I knew she wasn't serious and was going to be back in no time so I went to take a shower and rest was history.

Funny how it's possible to truly know someone in just a one-day friendship but never really knew the person you thought you knew best, at all even after one decade of friendship. Not that I was implying it to myself; I was just stating facts.

When I opened the closet, I noticed that the closet is a little too big for only two people. Not that I was complaining and yeah I'll admit, I was happy to get a big closet. I brought too many clothes because I thought I might need it.

The closet was divided into two compartments and I took the right one because it was the empty one. The left one was full of Yvonne's clothes, but seeing her clothes made my jaw drop. Here I thought I had too many clothes but seeing her's proved me wrong.

I quickly put all my clothes and accessories inside the closet and sat down to call her. She picked up after six rings.

"What?" She sounded annoyed.

"Hey, you sound annoyed. What happened?"

"This ugly old ass man is getting on my nerves," She answered, with gritted teeth.

"Who? The Dean?"

"Who else then?"

I laughed. "What did he do?"

"Don't even get me started on what he did,"

"Tell me, please,"

"See, last year I flunked so he said that I have to be present for extra classes during the weekends at seven-thirty in the morning!"

I started laughing.

"Hey, stop laughing you, idiot!"

"I-It's so f-funny t-that I c-can't."

"You should feel sorry for me but you are instead laughing. Fuck you too!"

"Oh my God! I can't stop," I replied, still laughing.

"Now done talking about the old creep, we are wasting our time. Anyways, why did you call me?"

"Oh yeah right. Actually, I wanted to ask you WHY DO YOU HAVE SO MANY CLOTHES? It's like you brought a room of clothes."

She laughed. "You know I die for parties right? Simple. For parties, honey. I'll for sure go for at least fifty so for them!"

"Oh yes, how can I forget that? I'm so dumb."

"Didn't know that before?" She added.

"Hey, you mean trash!" She giggled, making me roll my eyes.

"Anyways, I gotta go. I have to go sign up for my new weekend 'hobby' which is going to be super fun," She said sarcastically.

I laughed again. "Sure go ahead. I'm so jealous of you,"

"Shut up,"

I could feel her rolling her eyes but who cares. I kept on laughing when she hung up on me.

"Hello? Hello Yvonne?" But that wasn't enough to stop me from laughing. I threw my phone on my bed and continue laughing when my phone rang. It was her.

"What happened? Did the Dean extend your new weekend holiday to weekdays too?" I teased.

"Shut up, Summer. I'll choke you when I come back." This time, I shut up. I was done laughing anyways.

"After signing up, I have to go back to my place for something. I don't know what is it but mom called so I'm going. I'll be back by around five-thirty and the party starts at six-thirty so please be ready when I come back. I'll do my makeup and dressing up from home. Cool?"

"Yeah, cool. By the way, I hope you know how lucky you are that your home is so near,"

"Yeah, I know. Perks of being a neighbourhood kid to the college. Anyways, I called you up again to tell you this. I gotta go. Bye!"

"Bye!" I wished back and hung up. I spent the next couple of hours talking to my family and reading Cecelia Ahern's 'Perfect'. I was done reading 'Flawed' before I came here and started reading 'Perfect' yesterday morning. Honestly speaking, I was fond of 'Perfect' more than 'Flawed' because of many reasons but especially of one big solid reason: I shipped Carrick and Celestine more than I shipped Art and Celestine. I just loved the chemistry between Carrick and Celestine and that made me so addicted to the book.

Meeting Cecelia Ahern was one of my dreams when I was little and still was. Meeting many authors was my dream especially her. I always thought like if I ever get to meet her, I would thank her for making Carrick and Celestine endgame.

I finished reading the book by late noon and I felt satisfied with the ending. I lied on my bed and kept thinking on how Carrick and Celestine' lives would probably turn out if it wasn't a fictional story but a real one. I loved doing that. I was daydreaming about their wedding when I turned to the wall to look at the time.

"Shit! Oh my god, it's four forty five already!" I shouted. I couldn't believe I was daydreaming about a fictional couple for hours.

I quickly got up and got ready for a shower. I took a quick shower and started with my makeup. I was never a big fan of makeup but I did it sometime. When done, I took another quick glance at the clock. It was five ten already and I still didn't decide what to wear. Yvonne would be arriving soon.

After a quick choosing, I finally decided to wear my suspender mini black skirt with my white semi-high neck full sleeve and paired it with my black boots which reached my thigh. The weather was quite chilly due to the fall season so I chose to wear a warm outfit. I tied my hair down and messed it up a bit, leaving a few strands in the front. When I was finally done, I decided to give her a call.

"I'm ready. Where are you?"

"I'm outside our hostel. Bye,"

She hung up just like that and after a few seconds, I heard her footsteps. "And I'm here!" She announced, once she reached our doorsteps.

"Woah Summer, you look awesome!" She added, eyeing my outfit.

"Thank you. What are you wearing?"

"Oh, I'm wearing a two-piece outfit. I'll show you," She walked up to the closet and opening it, she took out two black clothes. When she unfolded it to show me, my mouth dropped open. It was so awesome and would've looked perfect on her with her slightly tanned skin.

Her outfit was a woollen sleeveless mini blouse and pants, tight at the top and flared at the bottom. She paired her outfit with her black buckle stiletto pointed heels.

"It's so awesome girl!" I exclaimed. "Oh but, won't you feel cold? It's chilly outside." I added.

"The party house is warm. Very warm, indeed, I won't need it,"

"But we gotta walk from here to the part house right?"

"What? No! I have my car back. That's why I went home. Actually, mom wanted me to take back my car with me so that travelling will be easier for me. She is cool. I know that already. You don't have to tell me," She smirked proudly. I was going to say the same thing, anyways.

"Yes! Very cool! But wait?" She raised he eyebrows at me in confusion.

"How did you go back home without your car then?" I added.

"Oh, my brother came to pick me up. I called him," She then added chuckling, "Now can we please move if you are done with your questions?"

"Oh yeah, Sure. Let's go, sorry," I said, realizing I was really asking a lot of unnecessary questions.

We moved downstairs and met Mrs Johnson there, talking to someone over the phone. Yvonne approached her and informed her that we were heading for the party at the party house.

She nodded, followed by a 'sure' before informing us to be back by twelve at the max. Agreeing, we moved out when I asked Yvonne how she was so cool with us going for a party on a college night.

She smirked and looked at me. "College darling!" Now I understood why college was said to be so great.
