My precious honey

Azlynn’s P.O.V.

“That was a brave move, Ann.”

As soon as the press conference ended, Daleyza dragged me to her office and exclaimed.

“You are new in this city, but I know what kind of man Xavion Waller is. He will take it personally, Ann.”

Listening to Daleyza’s horror speech, I couldn’t get the gist of the problem. She was narrating a story of where we weren’t included.

“How can you say that Xavion Waller will take it personally? He doesn’t even know us.”

It was hard to understand why that football star would pay heed to a small company when he was riding the heights of ecstasy in his career. From what I had seen online, Xavion was at the top, ruling over the entire South Kingdom like a King. People worshiped him blindly here.

It wouldn’t be surprising if he just challenged the real King and sat on the throne one day.

However, Daleyza wasn’t fazed by my logical reasoning.

“Are you kidding me, Ann?

He is the Xavion, an egoistic narcissist, who never forgives anyone. His staff is so efficient, they keep an eye on all the news about him 24/7.

I am certain that he must have heard about your publicity stunt.”

A sliver of dread touched my spine to hear such an accurate definition of Alpha Xavion, he was really a person not to be crossed with. I lived in an illusion of him being a calm and collected person for long, but he was a dick. He didn’t even hesitate to call me a cheater to save his face.

If Alpha could accuse a person wrongly, there were one hundred percent chances that my statement would bring a severe reaction. I was about to have a panic attack, but Bella comforted me.

“Daleyza is only warning you to play safe and extort more money from our brother.

Don’t fall for her trap, Ann. I can see that her wolf is snickering.”

Just like others, Daleyza also mistook me as a brainless omega, fooling me with her cunning brain. So, ignoring her annoying speech, I assigned her the task of signing easy targets for beginning and went to my new apartment during lunch break.

The freedom of moving around freely, no fear of being recognized, and on top of that, no ominous prophecy in my new life rejuvenated my soul. Bella was howling gleefully after a long time.

“Our dad is one of the strongest Alpha, but he never relaxes, Ann. You have colored your hair black, worn black lenses, and concealed your scent through our special gift. But still, he didn’t support our decision of living freely.”

Standing in front of a wall-length mirror of my room, I pondered over Bella's complaint. We could have lived like this among other wolves if dad wasn’t a paranoid man.

Along with my weird physical features and a prophecy, the Moon Goddess blessed me with the unique ability to hide my scent naturally, altering it with omega’s aura. No one could find out that Bella was a part of me due to this blessing.

Looking at my cozy home, I complained my dad. “At least, I could bring Hayley with me, dad. Why are you so cruel?”

The emptiness of my heart brought tears to my eyes; I felt devastated by the loss of my only friend. Hayley was the apple of my eyes, the only person who healed the deep wounds of betrayal.

She was the biggest reason that I survived the storm of despair!

Howard was my elder brother, my knight in shining armor, but he was always busy due to business and Kingdom affairs. So, Hayley was my only partner in the loneliness of the Palace, where I was imprisoned in my room like a criminal.

Wiping my tears, I took out the luxury of a cell phone from my purse and glanced at her photo.

“I can’t even call or text you, Hayley. You will forget me soon.”

Because of the Palace’s strict rules, we weren’t allowed to have mobiles. It was impossible for me to share my daily routine with my savior.

Glancing at Hayley’s picture with teary eyes, I was second-guessing my decision to leave her alone in the Palace when the scent of forest after rain danced into my nostrils, skipping my heartbeat.

A high-pitched scream resonated in my room, and I couldn’t notice that it was mine until a cute voice questioned me.

“Mommy, why are you screaming?”

Hayley!

Rocked by the sheer force of shock, I exploded into giddy laughter to see Hayley in front of me. I rushed to hug her.

“Thank, Goddess. You are fine, my precious honey. I missed you a lot.”

My four years old adopted daughter, Hayley, circled her tiny arms around my neck, exclaiming happily.

“I miss you too, mommy. Uncle Howard brought me here.”

Howard convinced our dad? How?

The reason for this out of the world miracle was none of my concern as I finally reunited with my daughter, the one who had filled my life with joy and happiness again.

After the break-up, I lost trust in people, considering myself destined for loneliness. I even tried to take my life; however, the Moon Goddess arranged my meeting with Hayley.

Just before jumping into river. I found a newborn baby in the forest, frozen in the cold. That night changed my life for the better. I bid farewell to my past and became Hayley’s mother, embracing the wonders of motherhood.

Kissing her adorable face, I felt at peace. Howard’s delightful tone resounded in my ears as he said,

“What about a thank you to the best brother in the world, little princess?”

I giggled and put my head on my brother’s broad chest. “You are matchless, my brother. I have no words to say thanks.”

...

“Can I go to school, mommy?”

As we calmed down after the initial tide of emotions, Hayley started to express her unfulfilled fantasies.

“Mommy, can I make friends now?”

“Will you take me to the shopping mall for Christmas?”

“Can we go to the park?”

And so on …

Her wish list was the result of the past’s grievances, as we were unable to go outside before. But Lake city was the answer to all my problems.

I didn’t go back to the office and showed the pictures of this town to Hayley on my laptop.

“We will do everything you say, my precious honey. We will visit shops for Christmas preparations and buy a Christmas tree.

And after the new year, you will go to school. Alright?”

Hayley’s glassy eyes widened in disbelief; her little mind was finding it challenging to believe this rarity.

“Pinky promise, mommy?”

Raising her pinky finger, she sought confirmation. I smiled again and joined my finger with her.

“Promise!”

After catching up, we were having pizza for lunch when the door of my apartment opened once again, Daleyza ran inside directly.

“Ann, we are done!”

“Why is she here?” Bella snarled at her, disturbed by her unannounced arrival. Howard hadn’t given her a spare key to invade my privacy.

“What’s the matter, Daleyza?”

The bitterness of my tone didn’t affect her at all as she frankly retrieved my cell phone from my bag and gasped.

“Ten miscalls from the personal number of football star Xavion Waller?

Oh, my Goddess!”

What?

My stomach constricted into a tight ball as a chill ran down my spine, I gawked at the screen. Daleyza’s horrifying imagination took the shape of reality and came to confront me in some hours.

But how?

I couldn’t even ask her more as my cell phone rang again, flashing that same number. And cherry on top, Daleyza pressed the green icon immediately.

“Talk to him!”

She mouthed desperately, begging me to handle the situation. However, my heart dropped to my stomach to hear Xavion’s deep, cold voice, he was pissed.

“This is the height of unprofessionalism, Miss Eastwood ...”

  • Football Star: The Jerk Alpha's Redemption    Epilogue

Azlynn’s P.O.V. The moment my Alpha command reverberated through silence, the blood seal flared white, emitting uncontrollable fire. The raging flames swirled around Demrid, engulfing him immediately. His agonizing screams fractured the air as he begged for mercy. Turning deaf ears to his pleading, I watched his soul ripped from the husk of his body, being devoured by the fire of justice. The bloodied red cross burned to ashes, erasing the mark as the reversal spell worked successfully, concluding the chapter of endless misery. The clean breeze, the silence of that night, and Demrid’s eventual death were something I couldn’t forget. It was still fresh in my mind even after one year. I had never thought that I would lose and gain so much in just one night. Like, the mating ceremony’s night was special for every she-wolf, starting a new phase of her life. But mine was a complete metamorphosis, changing me from head to toe. I became Alpha monarch from a simple queen in a matte

Azlynn’s P.O.V. I chuckled at Demrid’s overconfidence. He was certainly underestimating the extent of relief my family provided me just now. Alicia’s loyalty, her countless favors, and Delilah’s reunion with little Laura was enough positivity I needed in this dire situation. Last but not the least, Xavion, my mate, was with me. I could fight against Satan alone after seeing him. A self-acclaimed Devil couldn’t do anything when my family was with me! Staring back at Demrid fearlessly, I spoke bitterly. “Challenge accepted, Mr. Devil! As you have flexed your power, now it’s my turn to show what I can do.” The victorious grin on Demrid’s face was amusing, fueling my burning rage. I elongated my claws and scratched my palm a bit. “So, what were you saying about my blood?” Feigning ignorance, I waved my bloodied palm in front of Demrid. His hungry gaze followed my lead obediently. “Oh, yes! My blood is purer, laced with great strength. Isn’t it?” I moved ever so slowly, pouring

Xavion’s P.O.V.I should have killed Demrid when I first saw him around Azlynn. That MF hovered around my mate like a hungry predator, playing the pity game to win her heart. I should have known that his gentle, mature façade was hiding a dark secret. Like, how could a man be so perfect? This was our real world, not fantasy where men worship the very ground a female walked!Every second felt like a century when I waited outside the magical barrier, as Alicia instructed. She had promised me Azlynn was safe in that desolate clearing, which was empty in front of my eyes. And she was right! The moment I broke through the translucent wall, I saw her, my mate, my queen, standing there alive. This sight alone was enough to keep my wolf sane. Zion was overwhelmed with glee as our link was restored, charging at Demrid. “Bella is fine. Let’s crush that bastard’s skull, Xavion.”A fury unlike anything I had ever felt roared inside me, consuming every rational thought. I didn’t see the bl

Azlynn’s P.O.V.Delilah’s eyes shimmered with silver madness, lips curled in that eternal smile of half-truths. She didn’t look like the madwoman I met in the west earlier. My body stayed frozen, paralyzed by the weight of everything crumbling around me. The air hissed as Delilah clicked her tongue. “Master Demrid didn’t die that night. I saved him from the claws of the Alpha king, providing him with what he needed at that time.”She narrated the tale of her mastery, but my breath hitched at the sight of Alicia. My friend, my shield, my witchy companion. But the warmth in her presence was cold now as her aura dampened, her face devoid of the usual spark.“What are you doing here, Alicia? Where is Xavion?”Firing multiple questions in a quick succession, I tried to catch a clue about the outside world. “Why did you come alone?”But instead of Alicia, Delilah twirled a strand of her curly hair and gave a breathy laugh. She stepped forward, like she was performing on a stage.

Azlynn’s P.O.V.“By the right of my blood!”The air snapped with tension as I desperately prayed in my heart. My life and death were dependent on the outcome of my bold decision. I had to take action before his necromancer would come to end this game. Hopefully, in the meantime, Xavion would bring Alicia here to rescue me. That was the immediate plan I made for my family’s survival, and all thanks to my luck, that leech read my mind. He let out a restrained laugh before clutching his chest.“You are quite intelligent. Still waiting for your mate when death is right in front of …”But before he could cook a complete sentence, something invisible blocked his throat, capturing his voice. The earth beneath us trembled, a low vibration, like the world itself holding his breath. And then that cloaked man dropped to one knee as if pulled by strong chains. His hands reaching the hood waltzed my heart in my chest. Bella hopped gleefully.“Finally, it worked, Ann!Now we can direct hi

  • Football Star: The Jerk Alpha's Redemption    Who are you?

Azlynn’s P.O.V.“It’s time for the final sacrifice!”My pulse slammed in my ears as his words echoed through the moonlit veranda. My arms circled Hayley firmly as I shouted.“No! You aren’t touching my daughter!”That cloaked man remained still, watching me like a predator enjoying the panic of his defenseless prey. “She is just a child!” I screamed, shielding Hayley as much as I could. “She has nothing to do with the problems of the adult world.”His black cloak fluttered slightly with the breeze that didn’t exist, tilting his hood slowly. “So quick to protect what isn’t yours.”He mused, voice like velvet stretched over a broken glass. “Heart touching story! You are a good mother, Candice.”Feeling sick to the stomach, I hissed at him. “And you are a monster. A coward, hiding behind magic and lies. And you want to kill a kid now?Shame on you!Even Satan spares the innocent children!”His stillness cracked as he laughed, low and cold, like ice snapping beneath one
