A new agency

Xavion’s P.O.V.

“What do you think about the new logo for the promotional campaign, Sir. Do you like it?”

This was the third meeting in a row with my agency and the logo designs weren’t catching my eye. It seemed like my team was out of the new ideas, recycling the old ones.

Balling my fists, I couldn’t conceal my frustration and banged it on the table.

“Why does this coffee taste bland?

Do I have to teach you a simple task?”

Diverting my anger towards my assistant aka Beta Alvaro, I conveyed my pent-up discontentment appropriately.

“Alvaro, you just need to add a special ingredient in the coffee to make it taste delicious. How hard is it?

Can’t you do such a simple task?”

Mr. Dario, my manager, took my hint, the embarrassment on his flushed face satisfied me. He stuttered while grabbing his files from the table.

“These designs are incomplete, Sir. We will have a final meeting with our staff and get back to you soon.”

Mr. Doris requested me to spare one more morning for his stupid project as well.

“Sir, I will be truly grateful if you can allow us to show the designs next Tuesday.

It’s …”

Sipping my coffee, I cringed at its foul taste, Beta Alvaro literally forgot to put cinnamon in my coffee. Putting the cup with a loud clunk, I smiled professionally.

“That will be great, Mr. Dario. See you next Tuesday.”

This six-day delay to figure out a fucking logo was out of my mind. It was like I had hired a bunch of idiots as my dream team to manage my schedules.

Firstly, I bid a formal farewell to Mr. Dario and then addressed the significant issues one by one.

“How many times do I have to tell you to add cinnamon in my coffee, Alvaro?”

I hardly stopped myself from splashing piping hot coffee at Beta Alvaro’s face, his family’s years of service had saved him today from my wrath.

He hurriedly picked up the cup and bowed.

“I apologize for the negligence, Alpha.”

Alvaro took out cinnamon powder from the drawer and added it in my coffee mug, making it drinkable. I inhaled its lovely aroma, calming my taut nerves, but Alvaro’s noisiness didn’t let me relax.

“Omegas smell like cinnamon. Aren’t they, Alpha?”

His daring to poke his nose in my affairs received a blazing glare. He scratched his ear and chuckled nervously.

“I was just saying, Alpha. Of course, cinnamon is very useful for health. Everyone should use it.”

I was successful in calling off his bluff, but the traitor in my head voiced his opinion, interrupting a serious conversation at work.

“Azlynn smelled like cinnamon, Xavion.”

That was my wolf, Zion, tuned into an entirely different frequency.

“I miss her, Xavion. How can’t you find her?

Useless human!”

After that contentious start of the morning, I wasn’t in the mood to hear more bullshit. So, I blocked my wolf directly.

“Azlynn cheated on us and left. There’s no need to look for her.” And addressed Alvaro.

“I am sick and tired of Mr. Dario. He rose to fame and power just because of me.

But now, he is favoring wannabes to prove that he is a star maker.”

Alvaro had also noticed Mr. Dario’s trickery, he said,

“The grand football tournament is arriving, and yet he hasn’t finalized an acceptable logo.

It can’t be a coincidence that ten of his new players already have their schedules and logos done for this season.”

His report about my agency’s treachery turned out to be the last straw, so I decided to teach them a lesson.

“Bring the list of new companies in Lake city, Alvaro. I will sign with a newbie and show them who is the boss here!”

Growling furiously, I ordered to prepare legal papers to cut ties with Dario’s agency and rubbed my temple. The stress at work was killing me.

I opened my laptop for work, the news of a new sports company’s launch immediately caught my eye.

‘CA cooperation’ was launched right before the season, taking part in the race. It was something I was looking for my manager. A new agency would sign me for less profits, delivering better performance with no drama. Pleased by the current situation, I instructed Alvaro to search for ‘CA cooperation’s’ owner.

The day was finally on track, relieving my tension; however, an uninvited guest surprised me at lunch.

“Good afternoon, babes!”

Slander bare legs, long hair, and the face of an angel, this was the definition of my fated mate Valerie. She was here to meet me.

“I miss you so much, babes. When will you come home?”

Home?

Never!

Valerie stretched her porcelain arms to wrap them around my neck for a kiss. But I ignored her, speaking coldly.

“Why are you here, Valerie?”

Her sudden appearance could only have two possibilities. One: money. Two: my dad had sent her.

Crossing the second possibility due to my exemplary relationship with my dad, I mind-linked my Beta to come to my office.

“Tell Alvaro how much money you need. He will transfer it to your account.

Now, leave!

I am busy.”

My ignorance offended Valerie, but still, she loosened the strap of her skintight dress and leaned in.

“We are mates, Xavion. There are other things I need from you.”

Fluttering her eyelashes flirtatiously, she traced her hand over my chest, hoping to get Zion’s reaction. However, he was also fed up with her.

“Leave, Valerie. I am not in the mood!”

I jerked her hand away. “I am not interested in you anymore.”

Right after mating, Valerie shifted with my family without any discussion, disregarding my emotions completely. It was certain that the title of Luna and luxury was more important to her than Alpha Xavion.

However, Valerie didn’t accept her fault and blamed the third party.

“Is it because of Azlynn? You still love that bitch.

Brother has told me that you are searching for her.”

Her accusatory tone skyrocketed my fury, I shot back at her.

“It’s none of your fucking business, Valerie. I am enduring this bond just to wait for your second chance mate.

The day I find him; you will be out of my life.”

According to the stupid tradition of my pack, I couldn’t reject her. This mate-bond had been haunting me for years.

Valerie started crying, acting all innocent, her anguished orbs created an Oscar winning drama.

“Why did you marry me when you love that slut?

Azlynn slept with another man, bore his child, but still, she is the one for you.”

Her wailing was halted by Alvaro’s entry in my office, he handed her a file.

“I have processed your check, Luna. Please contact your bank.”

Just like that, Valerie concluded her drama and left, leaving us aghast. Alvaro laughed at me.

“I have told you that Luna will find out about your mission, Alpha.”

It was true that I was searching for that backstabbing omega for closure, Azlynn didn’t give me the reason for betrayal. Like, why?

Wasn’t I enough for her?

What did he promise her that I couldn’t give it to her?

Although these questions bugged me all the time, I tried to focus on my work for some distraction.

“What’s the latest development about CA cooperation? Tell them that I will sign at fifty percent profit.”

The deal I was offering was definitely in their favor; however, Alvaro’s reply added fuel to the fire of my anger.

“The company’s boss has given the statement that they won’t approach you, Alpha.”

Bloody hell!

Was that lady nuts?

Unable to keep cool anymore, I picked up my cell phone and commanded Alvaro.

“There’s no need to talk to the boss. Give me the number of her secretary.”

  • Football Star: The Jerk Alpha's Redemption    Epilogue

Azlynn’s P.O.V. The moment my Alpha command reverberated through silence, the blood seal flared white, emitting uncontrollable fire. The raging flames swirled around Demrid, engulfing him immediately. His agonizing screams fractured the air as he begged for mercy. Turning deaf ears to his pleading, I watched his soul ripped from the husk of his body, being devoured by the fire of justice. The bloodied red cross burned to ashes, erasing the mark as the reversal spell worked successfully, concluding the chapter of endless misery. The clean breeze, the silence of that night, and Demrid’s eventual death were something I couldn’t forget. It was still fresh in my mind even after one year. I had never thought that I would lose and gain so much in just one night. Like, the mating ceremony’s night was special for every she-wolf, starting a new phase of her life. But mine was a complete metamorphosis, changing me from head to toe. I became Alpha monarch from a simple queen in a matter o

Azlynn’s P.O.V. I chuckled at Demrid’s overconfidence. He was certainly underestimating the extent of relief my family provided me just now. Alicia’s loyalty, her countless favors, and Delilah’s reunion with little Laura was enough positivity I needed in this dire situation. Last but not the least, Xavion, my mate, was with me. I could fight against Satan alone after seeing him. A self-acclaimed Devil couldn’t do anything when my family was with me! Staring back at Demrid fearlessly, I spoke bitterly. “Challenge accepted, Mr. Devil! As you have flexed your power, now it’s my turn to show what I can do.” The victorious grin on Demrid’s face was amusing, fueling my burning rage. I elongated my claws and scratched my palm a bit. “So, what were you saying about my blood?” Feigning ignorance, I waved my bloodied palm in front of Demrid. His hungry gaze followed my lead obediently. “Oh, yes! My blood is purer, laced with great strength. Isn’t it?” I moved ever so slowly, pouring

Xavion’s P.O.V.I should have killed Demrid when I first saw him around Azlynn. That MF hovered around my mate like a hungry predator, playing the pity game to win her heart. I should have known that his gentle, mature façade was hiding a dark secret. Like, how could a man be so perfect? This was our real world, not fantasy where men worship the very ground a female walked!Every second felt like a century when I waited outside the magical barrier, as Alicia instructed. She had promised me Azlynn was safe in that desolate clearing, which was empty in front of my eyes. And she was right! The moment I broke through the translucent wall, I saw her, my mate, my queen, standing there alive. This sight alone was enough to keep my wolf sane. Zion was overwhelmed with glee as our link was restored, charging at Demrid. “Bella is fine. Let’s crush that bastard’s skull, Xavion.”A fury unlike anything I had ever felt roared inside me, consuming every rational thought. I didn’t see the bl

Azlynn’s P.O.V.Delilah’s eyes shimmered with silver madness, lips curled in that eternal smile of half-truths. She didn’t look like the madwoman I met in the west earlier. My body stayed frozen, paralyzed by the weight of everything crumbling around me. The air hissed as Delilah clicked her tongue. “Master Demrid didn’t die that night. I saved him from the claws of the Alpha king, providing him with what he needed at that time.”She narrated the tale of her mastery, but my breath hitched at the sight of Alicia. My friend, my shield, my witchy companion. But the warmth in her presence was cold now as her aura dampened, her face devoid of the usual spark.“What are you doing here, Alicia? Where is Xavion?”Firing multiple questions in a quick succession, I tried to catch a clue about the outside world. “Why did you come alone?”But instead of Alicia, Delilah twirled a strand of her curly hair and gave a breathy laugh. She stepped forward, like she was performing on a stage.

Azlynn’s P.O.V.“By the right of my blood!”The air snapped with tension as I desperately prayed in my heart. My life and death were dependent on the outcome of my bold decision. I had to take action before his necromancer would come to end this game. Hopefully, in the meantime, Xavion would bring Alicia here to rescue me. That was the immediate plan I made for my family’s survival, and all thanks to my luck, that leech read my mind. He let out a restrained laugh before clutching his chest.“You are quite intelligent. The earth beneath us trembled, a low vibration, like the world itself holding his breath. And then that cloaked man dropped to one knee as if pulled by strong chains. His hands reaching the hood waltzed my heart in my chest. Bella hopped gleefully.“Finally, it worked, Ann!Now we can direct hi

Azlynn’s P.O.V.“It’s time for the final sacrifice!”My pulse slammed in my ears as his words echoed through the moonlit veranda. My arms circled Hayley firmly as I shouted.“No! You aren’t touching my daughter!”That cloaked man remained still, watching me like a predator enjoying the panic of his defenseless prey. “She is just a child!” I screamed, shielding Hayley as much as I could. “She has nothing to do with the problems of the adult world.”His black cloak fluttered slightly with the breeze that didn’t exist, tilting his hood slowly. “So quick to protect what isn’t yours.”He mused, voice like velvet stretched over a broken glass. “Heart touching story! You are a good mother, Candice.”Feeling sick to the stomach, I hissed at him. “And you are a monster. A coward, hiding behind magic and lies. And you want to kill a kid now?Shame on you!Even Satan spares the innocent children!”His stillness cracked as he laughed, low and cold, like ice snapping beneath one
