“So… about the message,” I began softly, watching him tilt his head slightly toward my voice.

Hayden’s hand stilled on his desk. “Message?”

“Yes.” I hesitated. “From your eye doctor. There were several missed calls and voicemails. They sounded… important.”

He didn’t move. His expression was calm too calm but there was something quiet and guarded in the way his fingers brushed the edge of the desk, tracing the grain of the polished wood.

“I see,” he murmured finally.

“I wasn’t snooping,” I said quickly. “You know that, right? We switched phones by mistake, and I just… happened to notice.”

He nodded slightly. “It makes sense.”

His calm tone unsettled me more than anger would have. It was as though he had already decided how little it mattered.

“They said it was about more tests,” I continued carefully. “You haven’t been answering.”

A faint smile touched his lips cold, resigned. “Because I have no intention of going.”

“What? Why?”

“Because, Cecilia,” he said quietly, “I’m tired of being

  • For The Blind Billionaire    About Time

Cecilia's POV I knew it was going to work out. But I didn't think it was going to be that easy. A small smile spread on my lips as she collapsed on Hayden's body, and went silent. “Charlotte!” Hayden practically screamed, as he wrapped his arms around her in a protective manner. “She's not responding.” The gesture pierced my chest harder than it should. She didn't deserve any of that. All she had done all her life was steal what was mine. Trying to walk in my footsteps. Charlotte deserved a lowlife. Someone like her. “She fainted,” I said in an exaggerated panicked tone. “I'll get people to help her.”I stood up, heading outside the theater. I turned back one more time to make sure that he wasn't following me. The blind man was smarter than people that had eyes. “Hello, how can I help you?” The lady at the counter asked me with a smile. “A cup of diet coke, please,” I said, plastering the sweetest smile I could muster on my face. She handed me the styrofoam cup as I paid for it

  • For The Blind Billionaire    Man Behind

Charlotte's POV I forgot the name of the movie immediately it flashed right before my eyes. There was something wrong about everything, but I couldn't place what exactly what it was. “Is something wrong, Char?” Cecilia asked in a tone that made me want to grab the sleeve of her dress and beg her to tell me what was she was trying to do, but I wasn't doing any of that. I plastered a smile on my face instead. “Everything is fine,” I said in a stiff tone. Hayden's head tilted in my direction. “Do you want to leave? You're tense,” he whispered low enough for only me to hear. “Too late, the doors have been locked. They don't open up until the movie's credits start to roll. Now, can we all keep quiet and watch it?” I found it slightly offensive that Cecilia was even listening to our conversation, but I wanted to let her have it. She was trying to fix things. The least I could do was be nice to her as well. Hayden's hand landed right on mine, covering it with an assuring squeeze that

Charlotte's POV “Seems your progress with your sister wasn't small”. The rough and commanding voice of Heyden sounded softly almost like a passing wind.I wasn't aware when he entered the room but observing that calm face of his, like his statement was just passing thought, I asked. “How much did you hear”. My heart tensed up at the thought of him hearing how I accepted to go out without a confirmation from him.Sensing my upbeated heart riming in tension, he acted like he didn't notice. “Not much, just enough to know you want me to come with you to somewhere”.Hmmf breathing down in relief, then remembering that the person in front of me was not my ex Jacob, that restricted me of every privilege, including freedom of movement. And was rather Heyden Maxwell the richest youngest and most handsome man to ever walk earth.Shaking my head as my lips curled up a bit in pride It felt good that he calls me his wife even if I'm hiding under the veil of deception.“You're smiling, did I say a

  • For The Blind Billionaire    Unknown

Charlotte’s POVIt was morning the next day and I still couldn't understand the objective Cecilia was trying to achieve, why would she finally give up her taunts and was ready to make peace with me even going as far as querying our parents of their past behaviors. I just couldn't find a reason for her actions or maybe she ran out of her tricks and finally realized that there was no need for us to fight anymore.I tried my best in giving myself a reason to believe that maybe the sister I know has truly changed, but even with every reason I give I still find it hard to trust my words. But I already had my decision, I'll give her the chance to prove that she's worth my trust and the sister she should have been.“Where you able to make any progress”I heard Heyden’s voice as calm and relaxed he asked, bringing me out of my head.Although he didn't say much I clearly understood he was asking about my conversation with my sister.“I don't know if I chose right”. I know I might be adding an

  • For The Blind Billionaire    The Call

Charlotte’s POVIt started with a call.A soft, hesitant ring that pulled me from the lazy hum of the waves outside the villa. We were still on the last stretch of Hayden’s carefully planned vacation… the one that had become far more dangerous to my heart than I wanted to admit.I’d been standing by the window, staring at the glow of the sunset melting into the sea when my phone buzzed again.Cecilia.I nearly dropped it.For weeks… silence. Not a text, not a whisper. After everything that had happened at the anniversary, I’d assumed she’d hate me for life. And now she was calling.I hesitated before answering. “Hello?”There was a long pause. Then, her voice fragile, trembling, and far too soft to sound like her.“Charlotte…?”Something inside me tightened. “Cecilia? What do you want?”“I wanted to talk,” she said quickly. “Please don’t hang up. I… I just need five minutes.”Her tone was shaky. Uncertain. It didn’t sound like the sharp, venomous sister I knew.I sat down slowly, stil

  • For The Blind Billionaire    Real Me

Cecilia’s POVEnvy is a disease. And I was terminal. The screen glared up at me, bright against the dimness of my room. Another photo. Another video. Another headline. The blind billionaire and his radiant wife spotted on a private beach.Hayden Maxwell can’t keep his hands off his new bride. The couple everyone’s talking about…My nails bit into my palm.Radiant wife. They meant Charlotte.Every click, every swipe felt like a slap. Her laughing face, glowing under the sunlight that should have been mine. Her dress, wind-tossed. Her eyes, soft with adoration.Adoration for a man that was supposed to be mine.I threw my phone onto the bed and stormed to the mirror. The woman staring back at me looked flawless. Perfectly sculpted hair. Lips glossed in an expensive shade of coral. A face that could break hearts and ruin homes. And yet somehow… I was the one left behind.I paced the room, the faint echo of my heels biting into the floor. “This is ridiculous,” I muttered, half to myself. “
