SORA'S POV:-
I came back home late that night. As I had guessed right about Loid. He was a jerk and an asshole. I was in my bathroom, soaking my body into the warm water. I had soaked some medical herbs in the warm water to help me with the soreness and my ache in my bones. He left me by dusk, alone at the field. Not that I was afraid or anything. But since I was just starting, he was supposed to be there to supervise me.
He made me take laps, about ten times in six hours. And that too, he was not satisfied at five or ten laps. The training field that we were in, was thrice as big as a soccer ground. And he made me run a minimum thirty laps of the group and that was actually once. It was frustrating how a racist like him was supposed to be the trainer that I had. Except for me, the field was empty.
It was appalling how not even a single woman on the pack wanted to even try and become one of the soldiers, or even try to be one of the guards in the Dark Crescent Moon Pack.
That gave Loid voice and authority against me. It was unfair but then I consoled myself that when was the last time life was even fair for me. While my bratty sister and complaining mother sat on their ass the whole day, I was supposed to do all the chores around the house to be able to attend the academy. And I had to work to earn money for myself to get myself clothes, books and lunches.
While it was all very easy for Solana to only get her ass up, ruin my room to find my money and by stupid things like bags, shoes and get spa treatments. She was a walking bimbo who couldn't even solve simple addition problems from calculus. But she walked around as if she was actually the missing princess of the Red Dew Kingdom.
I stepped out of the bathtub when I was done cursing my twin and my mother and that jerky brother of mine. Also, the water had started to turn cold. I didn't have a wolf and I couldn't heal. The last thing I wanted was to get sick because even if I was dying, my mother would never spare me from the chores.
Though, Alpha Cougar was not that bad. I knew my mother was the one behind all those stupid punishments. Thankfully, Alpha Cougar didn't listen to her nonsense. Unlike Alpha Arnold who used to do anything my mother said to him. I was changing my clothes. I had decided to call it a night since I had no more chores and I didn't have the energy to go downstairs to eat while putting up with my step brother, Loid.
As I was about to climb into the bed, I heard a loud knock on my bedroom door, forcing me to grunt in frustration and exhaustion.
I walked toward the door and found Loid standing in front of my door. “What! You decided to sleep so early. It isn't even nine o'clock.” He asked me, faking the shock on his face. I felt the urge to punch him in the face but I restrained myself. I was just trying too hard not to get into any trouble but those people were cruel.
“Yes! I am sleeping because I am tired and I have been awake since five in the morning and every single person has their strength.” I almost growled at him in annoyance as I turned around and was about to shut the door in his face when he said something that blew up my mind.
“So I should presume that I will not have to see your face in the training field from tomorrow? Nice.” His words hit that spot that I didn't want him to poke. I would have attacked him but yet again, I heard Celeste's voice echoing in my head.
“Behave!”
“Yeah! I must behave. I must control. I must conceal.” I reminded myself of the promises I had made with Celeste.
“We will see when you will be able to break me, step brother.” I replied to Loid in a sugar coated tone and a honey sweet smile on my face. Those two things were enough to tear that challenging smirk off of his face.
“You didn't come to my room to bother me or challenge me, step brother. Why are you here?” I asked, and I was continuously reminding him of the relationship we had between us.
He growled in anger but didn't say anything. He slapped an Omega's dress on my face. I frowned in confusion as I stared at him. “My father took your mother out. They will not be coming back until morning. I have thrown a party in the mansion and you will be one of the servants serving at the party.” He ordered me and I was a second away from taking his life when I reminded myself that I didn't have my wolf.
“Ask anyone to do it for you. I am not interested. Good night! I am going to bed.” I responded as I placed the dress back on his hands. I was about to close the door when his taunting chuckle made me freeze in my place.
“I bet you are about to give up very soon. You gave up after your first day. I didn't expect that from you, Sora. I thought you will be fighting for a while until you see your actual place in this world.” He taunted me again as he was starting to walk away.
For some reason, that taunt stabbed the needle into that one nerve that hurt the most. “Wait!” I called out and he halted his steps. I walked up to him, snatched the dress from him and walked back into my room.
When I stepped back out of the room, I found him leaning against the railing in front of my bedroom. He had a victorious smirk on his face. Of course, he won both ways, either I chose to go to bed or if I chose to listen to him and serve drinks at his party. I was walking past him when he smacked my ass. “You are disgusting!” I exclaimed while glaring at him angrily.
I walked into the party. Loid followed me behind. Solana saw me wearing that omegas uniform and a victorious look appeared on her first and her eyes started shimmering like two stars. I could only roll my eyes at her for being so insecure.
When I didn't move, Loid smacked my ass again. “Move your ass, little sister. You don't want me to smack something else in front of all those people.” He whispered in my ear, making me shiver at his tone. He was seductive toward me all the time. Gulping hard, I walked toward the bar.
The bartender handed me a tray full of shots. He pointed his finger toward the west side of the hall where a bunch of people were waiting for shots. Nodding my head, I walked toward them and served them the shots. I walked back to the bar where I was handed another tray. Almost instantly, I was running left and right, serving the guests.
Within an hour, my body was aching again. I had overworked. I knew exactly why Loid was doing that. He wanted me to back away and he could win.
I closed my eyes for a moment and took a deep breath to calm myself down. “Hey, you! Move your ass and get me a cocktail.” Solana's evil voice echoed in my ear and I sighed. She was enjoying this way too much. I walked toward the bar and ordered Solana's drink. I was standing by the bar, leaning slightly by the counter to give my aching toes some rest.
A gasp escaped my lips as I felt someone's hands on my ass. I turned to glare at Loid. After all, he was the only one who was constantly touching me. He stepped closer to me until my back was pinned against his front.
My breathing quickened as I felt his fingers moving up into my skirt. “Will I find your panties wet or dry, step sister?” He whispered seductively in my ear as he was slowly moving upward.
“Let me go, Loid. You are my step brother. This is disgusting.” He tried to speak as firmly as I could but my voice came out as hoarse.
I had never expected any other man to touch me there except for Noah, as he was my mate. Despite my warning, Loid didn't stop. His fingers were brushing against my inner thigh, making me anxious. “Where is my fucking drink?” Solana yelled again and for the first time in my life, I was glad to hear her voice.
Pushing his hand away from my skirt, I grabbed the cocktail and walked away. I didn't look at Loid as I knew my cheeks were burning. I didn't want him to feel victorious against me again. I handed Solana her drink. I was about to walk away when she grabbed me by my hair from behind. A gasp escaped my lips as she pulled my hair aggressively.
I almost stumbled on my feet. “I asked for mojito, not a cocktail. Why did you bring me a cocktail?” She asked me angrily, yelling at me disrespectfully in front of all those people who were the same age as we were. Narrowing my eyes, I stood up.
“You asked for a cocktail. Half of the party heard you.” I argued. I was not the one who told the bartender what Solana wanted. The bartender heard her loud and clear.
Before I could say anything else, Solana splashed her drink on my face. A loud gasp escaped my lips. I fell down on my knees as my eyes burned with the alcohol and the lemon in her drink. “That's what happened to lazy ass servants like you. Now move your fucking ass and get me a mojito. With extra lemon.” She growled at me angrily while I was struggling to open my eyes
again. In all that, I hardly paid attention to the music that had suddenly stopped.
SORA'S POV:-When I was trying so hard not to mess up anything, I cursed my sister for being a bitch. She was my twin and the devil of my life. Sometimes I even wondered if our mother let a demon impregnate her because there was no way she was this evil without a demon's blood in her veins. I was struggling to open my eyes while my sister was enjoying my agony. She was tugging my long black hair so hard.My heart skipped a beat for no reason. Until I felt someone's presence in front of me. “What is going on here?” My throat went dry the moment Loid's voice echoed in my ears. Despite the burning sensation in my eyes, I forced my lids open to see the world. Everything was blurry. My heart sank in the pit of my stomach as I thought of going partially blind. In that case, I knew my dream of becoming a warrior would be ruined. “It's her fault. She didn't bring me the right drink.” Solana lied through her teeth so boldly. This was nothing new for me. She had been lying I guess since the mom
SORA'S POV:-In the morning, I arrived at the training field. As soon as I stepped in, Loid came growling at me. “Fifty laps of the ground, start running. And you have to finish before the clock ticks 9.” I frowned as I didn't understand the reason why he would be so angry. I sighed as there was no use of arguing with that man. I started running as fast as I could. I only had fifteen minutes to complete my laps.I expected to fall down at the thirtieth lap but it didn't happen. Yes, I was panting but so far, I was not as exhausted. Though, it took me five extra minutes to finish my fifty laps. “I thought you would be able to finish it off sooner. What a shame!” He growled at me, making me growl back at him.“We are practicing sparring today. Get rid of your extra clothing or it will only benefit me. Because I will be coming at you, hard.” He growled as he was wrapping his knuckles with the bandages. I pulled my jacket and the shirt off. I was left in my tank top and skinny sweats. Wh
SORA'S POV:-A few days later, after a long and tiring day at the academy, I stepped out and a wide smile appeared on my face. I found Alex waiting for me on his bike. As soon as I stepped out of the academy, he stood straight, holding a bouquet for me. My cheeks turned pink as I walked toward him. “What is all this?” I asked, keeping my voice extremely low. Though, it was useless since I was surrounded by werewolves.“Hi, to you too. Nice to see you again.” He whispered back, rolling his eyes at me. I couldn't help but giggle at the face Alex just made when he was annoyed. “Sorry!” I apologized and in response, he gently pinched my cheek. “I thought I should visit you, since you can hardly be found at home. You are either studying, doing chores or in the field, training with Loid.” Alex sounded annoyed yet again.“In a few days, you actually learned about my routine. I am impressed, Alex.” He chuckled as he listened to me. “What do you say? Shall we get out of here?” Alex asked me
SORA'S POV:-By the time I went back down, I found Solana standing with mom and feeding her lies. “She didn't complete her chores at all. And she went out.” I wanted to stop her because Alpha Cougar was with mom. He was glaring at me for some reason. So I decided to stay quiet and let Solana humiliate herself in front of the Alpha Cougar. Everyone went to the basement and I followed them. Solana was surprised to see the basement completely empty and clean. “Where is the laundry? Didn't you just say that Sora didn't do her chores?” Alpha Cougar growled at Solana angrily. It was amusing to watch her getting humiliated for once the way she had been humiliating me since I could actually remember.Solana was dumbfounded while she was trying to figure out what she could do. “I swear, she didn't do her chores. You can ask anyone around here. She came in late and went straight to her room. She didn't do anything at all.” My heart started pounding against my rib cage as her suggestions echoed
SORA'S POV:-Mom was glaring at Loid. She could no longer control her anger. After all, Loid had attacked her favorite daughter. She was in her defensive mode, standing in front of Solana. Fuming in anger, my mother growled at Loid “How dare you say…” though, Loid didn't let her complete her sentence.“Uh huh! Save your words. I am not in the mood!” Loid growled at mom and turned to me. “You have five minutes to go and get ready. Not a second more!” He growled at me and I quickly nodded my head. I was about to walk toward the entrance when mom grabbed me by my elbow and stopped me. “She will not leave until the kitchen is clean!” Mom growled at Loid while digging her nails in my flesh.I tried so hard not to cry. I was supposed to be brave like a warrior should be. Tears welled up in my eyes as I tried to free my arm from her hold. “And I just fucking told you to tell Solana to do it because Sora is coming with me on her first patrol. Don't make me call the Alpha to bring you to your
SORA'S POV:-A month passed in a blink. Loid hardly let me stay at home at night. I also hardly got time to see Alex. It was as if Loid was doing it all on purpose. I was not complaining since he was practically saving me from my evil sister and her twisted plans to humiliate me. I couldn't let anything like that ruin my chance to reach my dream.According to Loid, I had been doing a little better every single day. Well, that's all he could actually say about me. Or maybe, he just didn't like complimenting others. After a long tiring day at the academy, I walked out, massaging my shoulders. As always, Loid gave me less training and more punishment to run laps.I just couldn't understand what was the need for me to run around the place looking like a fool every time I made a mistake. Shaking my head, I walked back hum. I had a full day planned inside my head. But when was the last time my life let me have a little peace in my chaotic life. For some reason, my heart was pounding so lou
LOID'S POV:-I could hear her sobbing outside. I could bet Alpha Noah could do the same. She was standing outside. She didn't dare to come on. My heart squeezed at the words that the bastard just spoke about her. Alpha Noah stood up and asked me about the restroom. Since I knew Sora wouldn't want to take him to the restroom after what he did to her, I decided to walk him to the restroom.I saw her standing in front of the kitchen. She was facing the wall and I could hear her sobs. I had never seen her like that before. As if she was broken. It angered me that her twin sister got back at her in such a cruel way. “I thought you would have run away to jump off of the cliff. I guess I think too much from someone like you.” Alpha Noah growled at her and I watched as her full body tensed up.She turned around and my heart squeezed again at the sight. It was the most stunning sight. Her cheeks were tinted pink, her nose was red due to constant crying. Her eyes were bloodshot. Tears were cons
SORA'S POV:- I was dragged by Alpha Cougar toward the full view mirror. He pointed his index finger at my neck. “This mark! Where did you get this mark from? Did you find your mate last night?” Alpha Cougar was growling at me angrily. But I was too busy staring at my neck in horror as I had no idea what actually happened to me that night. I only remembered talking to my wolf. I could hardly understand anything at all. “I have no idea, alpha. I don't know anything about this mark. I saw it just now when you showed it to me.” I replied to Alpha Cougar in a low tone. My heart was beating wildly inside of my rib cage. Alpha Cougar took his hand off of my shoulders and turned me around. He was staring into my eyes as if he was gazing into my soul to check if I was actually lying to him or not. “I don't lie to anyone, alpha. I especially wouldn't lie to you. Please, believe me. I can only remember shifting into my wolf. Nothing else.” I tried to convince Alpha Cougar. I didn't want every
