CH3: Did we fly?

"Sunna, you are grown up now," he said. " You know I will not keep feeding you like this."

However, he still took the spoon and began feeding her. And Sunna smiled in satisfaction.

She was grown up yes! But she did not like it when her dad and brother kept saying that to her.

She wanted them to keep treating her like that small girl she always was. It made her feel so loved. And it also made her friends jealous.

"You said you would always feed me, remember?" She asked stubbornly. "Or did you find someone else you love here?"

Deagan froze for the slightest moment. But he returned to normal immediately that the spoiled Sunna did not notice it.

He said nothing about it. And Sunna just smiled. She knew that she was the only loving sister that he had.

And that was why he had come to save her today. "Brother? You know I was so scared before you came. I thought that I was going to die, and dad would cry again like he did when mom died. I felt so bad. You are my hero that you saved me!"

She would never forget that year when her mom died. She was only six years old,but she knew what that was actually happening.

"Nothing will happen to you when I am alive," Deagan said and stuffed more food into her mouth. "Just stay at home and listen to dad."

Sunna looked at him with her big eyes. "What about you? Should I not listen to you anymore?" She asked.

Deagan put away the plate and handed her a glass of water. And she gulped down before rubbing her stomach in satisfaction.

She was always this satisfied whenever her brother fed her. And it felt good.

But she creased her brows when she remembered something. "Brother? Did we fly?" She asked. "Um... I mean... On our way here, it felt like we were flying."

And Deagan looked at her with a smile. "Do you think that is possible? Can you fly?" He asked and pinched her cheeks.

"It just felt funny," Sunna said. Then she held his hands and looked at it. She seemed even more confused.

She pulled it close to her face and touched her cheeks with it. And Deagan's Adams apple gobbled up and down.

"What are you doing?" He asked her. She had grown more beautiful over the one year that he was gone. And she looked a little ripe now.

He shook his head at his thoughts. Those were the things that he was trying to stop think about all this time.

"Brother, it felt like you had fur all over your body when we were fleeing," Sunna said. But she was confused since he was just as usual now.

"You are always overthinking my princess," Deagan replied. He had always called her that since she was young.

"Mmh, my prince," she nodded her head. It seemed like she was just overthinking. As long as he kept calling get his princess, she would be so happy.

She had always called him 'My prince' whenever he called her 'my princess'. And she felt like it was the best feeling in the world.

Deagan looked at her and smiled. His little sister, the only one should he so much in this world was here once again.

Even though she looked a bit grown, he still felt like she was that young girl he always spoiled.

Just then, his phone vibrated. He looked at it before looking back at her.

"Let me see someone outside," he said and patted her head. " Sit here and don't move. I will not forgive you if you hurt yourself again."

"Okay," Sunna nodded her head. She was used to obeying her brother.

Outside the house...

Deagan found a man waiting at the door. He stepped out and closed the door behind him.

"My prince!" The man bowed down immediately in greetings.

"Stop it Cuava," Deagan said. "Don't do it now."

"Okay okay," the man nodded. But he seemed tensed up looking at Deagan.

"What is it?" Deagan asked the man, putting his hands into his pockets. That was how he had always been, facing everything calmly.

"It is the king... He... He wants to see you right now!" The man said while trembling.

And Deagan's face turned cold immediately. "He knows that she is around?" He asked.

"Mmh," Cuava nodded his head. "And he is mad that you beat Danlance because of her."

"Ooh," Deagan said, and he looked behind him worriedly. "Do I have to go now?"

"Yes yes!" Cuava nodded his head. " You cannot let him get angrier. It won't be good."

Cuava had been serving Deagan the last one year. And they were people who understood each other well.

"Okay, give me a minute," Deagan said and walked back to the house. "Are you okay?" He asked the girl in the living room.

"Mmh," the girl nodded. "You look..."

"Come with me dear," Deagan said. " I am going for a meeting. You stay in my room. I am coming back as soon as I can, okay?"

Sunna was silent for some seconds, looking at him with some uncertainty.

"Sunna..."

"Take me with you," she said. She was scared that maybe he was running away from her again.

"Nope, it is not safe Sunna," Deagan shook his head at her. "Give me two hours,I promise to come back."

Sunna was silent again. She knew that she really was not supposed to bother him when he was attending serious matters. But she was just so insecure.

"I am scared of those creatures," she said and hugged Deagan. "What if they come back? They will kill me!"

And Deagan sighed. He knew that she just did not want to be left behind. "See, they were just wolves you know. They won't come to my room I swear. They fear me. Just stay in and do not get out. You will be safe," Deagan said.

"Really?" She asked. So they were wolves? But why were they so many all at once?

"I will leave you my phone in case you are bored. I am coming back, okay?" He said as he carried her to his room.
