Evans read the email without missing anything, he read it again and finally slumped into the chair he was sitting in. His heart beat faster and his fingers began to tremble.

Though he had seen the email when he was at the hospital, he had read it and didn’t think about it. He didn’t want to leave Nathan and was ready to stay here and face everything. But this one incident made Evans realise something.

If things continued like this, it might go out of control.

Grammy Fanny would be harmed by desperate people, Nathan would keep getting distracted and might lose a lot, and he… he might end up ending things between them just to keep Nathan safe.

Evans knew himself well. He had already guessed that things were not so simple, and there might be some hidden agenda especially after Megan's confession, and he knew Nathan was handling something big on his own. The pressure was too much and he couldn’t keep letting that man be distracted. But he also didn’t want to let Nathan go.
