Camille and I turned to him in shock. We hadn’t even realized that he had climbed up the stairs. Dominic was behind him.

“Who said that to you?” Dante asked, repeating himself.

With how upset he was, it was obvious that the words weren’t good. Camille nudged me to respond to Dante.

“Um, one of the maids,” I said. “I was at the pool when she said the words to me unprovoked,” I added gently.

I watched a cloud of fury bury Dante’s face, and I became worried, especially when he turned abruptly and went back downstairs, with Dominic still following behind.

“What is going to happen now?” I asked Camille worriedly.

“We better go with them to find out,” Camille suggested.

Her tone and facial expression wasn’t encouraging enough and I didn’t like the way I was feeling.

“But what does it mean?” I asked Camille, insisting on a response.

“It means ‘stay away, pig whore,’” Camille revealed.
