I remained in the room until I heard a knock, and I thought that it was Dante who had returned. I hurried to the door even though I told myself that I didn’t want to see or speak to him. However, I believed I was just worried about him, especially as he left my room without saying a word.

Dante was fond of this.

He would walk out without saying a word when I said something or he discovered something, and I came to the realization that it left something in me that I didn’t like. It made me feel a certain kind of way.

When I opened the door and saw Camille standing right there with a tray of food, I was utterly disappointed.

“Oh,” I said dully, unable to help myself.

“Can I come in?” She requested politely.

As much as I didn’t want to also speak to Camille right now, I stepped aside so that she could come into the room and she did with the tray of food.
