SCARLETT

That night, while I cleaned myself up, I couldn't help but imagine being pressed under Simon. My hand traced in between my thighs, plunging my finger into my warm hole.

Thoughts about the garden, how Simon brushed my lips, how he would have taken me possessively filled my head making me increase my pace. I pressed my hands against my lips to suppress my moans. I went faster until I could feel my insides collapsing.

By morning, I could feel the ache between my legs, whatever it was I strongly desired to feel Simon in me. This was becoming a serious problem because whatever existed between us wasn't just harmless tension anymore, it was escalating and I was beginning to lose control of myself around him.

***

The mansion was unusually quiet that afternoon. Mum had gone shopping in the city with friends, leaving me alone again in the enormous estate. Soft jazz echoed faintly through the house speakers.

I sat curled on the couch in the library pretending to read. I'd reread the same paragraph at least six times.

My thoughts kept drifting back to Simon, to his voice. To the way he said good girl with his eyes even when the words never left his mouth. God. I slammed the book shut in frustration.

“This is ridiculous.”

“You usually talk to yourself this much?”

I jumped violently, Simon stood in the library doorway. He looked devastating today, black button down shirt rolled to his forearms, dark slacks sitting low against narrow hips, expensive watch gleaming beneath the warm lighting.

I cleared her throat awkwardly.

“You're home early.”

“My meeting was cancelled.”

His gaze flicked toward the book in my lap.

“You haven't turned a page in twenty minutes.”

“You were watching me?”

“Yes.”

The honesty caught me off guard again. Simon walked deeper into the library slowly, and I became hyperaware of the storm outside, silence inside, and the fact that they were completely alone, again.

Simon stopped beside the couch.

“What are you reading?” He asked.

I looked down at the cover quickly just to avoid his eyes. “Some romance novel.”

One corner of his mouth tilted faintly.

“Any good?”

I swallowed hard. “Depends.”

“On?”

I looked up reluctantly. “Whether you like toxic men, I guess.”

Then Simon said quietly, “And do you?”

I squeezed my hand softly, every conversation with him felt loaded now.

“I think everyone likes things they probably shouldn't,” I said carefully.

Simon's eyes darkened immediately. “True.”

I looked away first. “You're impossible to talk to.”

“Why?”

“Because you make everything sound dirty.”

A soft laugh escaped him.

“Maybe your mind is simply dirty, Scarlett.”

I stood abruptly from the couch before my body embarrassed me further.

“I'm getting coffee.”

Simon stepped aside to let me pass but as I moved beside him, his fingers brushed lightly against her lower back. The touch lasted barely a second, but still enough to make I inhaled sharply.

I hurried from the library before he could see how badly my hands were shaking.

I grilled the marble counter tightly while trying to calm my breathing. I was acting like some hormonal teenager with a crush. Simon walked into the kitchen, right where I was but I didn't turn around.

“You followed me.”

“I live here.”

I rolled my eyes slightly. “You know what I mean.”

“You’ve been avoiding saying it again.”

My throat felt dry. “That was an accident.”

“No.” Simon stepped closer. “It wasn't.”

I tried to laugh nervously. “You're really hung up on one word.”

“It's not the word.” His gaze dropped slowly to my mouth. “It's who said it.”

Simon moved closer now, close enough that I could cut off my self control immediately.

“You should stay away from me,” I whispered shakily.

“Yes.”

My chest rose unevenly. “Then why aren't you?”

“Because every time I try,” he said softly, “you look at me like that.”

“How?”

“Like you want me to stop being good.”

I knew that some reckless broken part of me wanted exactly that.

Simon lifted one hand slowly and brushed it against my throat.

My thigh pressed together instinctively.

His thumb slid lightly along the side of my neck before tilting my chin upward.

I gasped softly, as his fingers rubbed against my chin and my lips.

“You keep looking at me like you want something,” he said quietly. “What do you want, sweetheart?”

I looked up at him helplessly then suddenly Simon backed me against the counter and I gasped softly, it wasn't rough but possessive.

Simon braced one hand beside my hip while staring down at me like he was struggling not to ruin everything.

“You want consequences?” He asked roughly and I nodded my head in approval.

His hand gripped my thigh and a moan escaped from my lips. Simon slowly slid his hand higher and traced them down into my shorts.

“Look at you,” he murmured darkly. “Getting wet from attention.”

Humiliation and desire crashed violently inside me, my nails dug into the counter. Simon lowered his forehead to meet mine while his fingers worked his way through my wetness.

“I want you to look at me,” he said.

I stared into my eyes as his fingers circled around my clit, which was already swollen from unwanted attention. I moaned and pressed my thighs together. Simon continued in that rhythm, going further, he plunges two of his fingers hard into me and my head rolls backward as pleasure crashes through me.

“Do you want me to stop?” He asked, still looking at me.

“No…daddy.”

As soon as I said that, his eyes darkened again. His fingers kept going in and out of me while I kept on moaning helplessly. I could feel pressure build up inside me.

“I'm going to cum,” I whispered needingly.

“No…not yet cupcake.”

He went down on his knees and spread my thighs wider, wrapping my legs around his neck. The cool feel of his tongue against my wetness made me even wetter. His tongue circled against the bud of my clit, finding my g-spot…I moaned in estacy as he ate my pussy out with so much focus.

“You like that, baby?” He asked plunging his tongue into my hole while his thumb circled around my clit.

“Ahh!!...yes!!! I'm going to cum!!” I yelled bitting my lips to suppress my moans. He went faster until I felt warm liquid splash through my hole followed by a creamy liquid. I squealed in pleasure as I released completely and he licked everything up, cleaning my insides.

“You're quite the squirter, but also a creamer, I don't know which I like more.” Simon said while cleaning his hands.

I immediately felt embarrassed, I was completely vulnerable in front of him and I enjoyed it.

“This was a mistake and it shouldn't happen again.”

“Oh cupcake, you don't know, do you?” He asked. “There's no going back from this.”

  • Forbidden Desires Daddy's Favorite Sin    CHAPTER 55 March

SCARLETT The graduate showcase was on March 21st. The program's annual event, the culmination of the year's work, held in a venue large enough to matter and intimate enough to be real. Industry guests, faculty, family, a small amount of press. I had been preparing for it since January in the specific way you prepared for something that was going to happen regardless of how prepared you were, doing the work and trusting it and trying not to make the preparation into performance. The week before, I finished the final alterations on the sixth piece. The ordinary piece. The Thursday piece. The one that looked like a life rather than a conclusion. I put it on the sixth form and stood back and looked at the full collection for the first time as a complete thing. All six pieces in sequence. The light in the studio catching them differently from different angles. The first piece, structured and formal, the before. The transitional piece in the center, the threshold itself, neither one

  • Forbidden Desires Daddy's Favorite Sin    CHAPTER 54 The House

SIMONThe house was in a quiet street twenty minutes from the city center, the kind of street that had been residential for long enough that it had stopped being self-conscious about it, the Victorian terraces lining both sides with the comfortable solidity of buildings that had been doing their job for a hundred and fifty years and expected to continue.I had looked at it alone on the Wednesday, between a two o'clock call and a four o'clock meeting, forty-five minutes that I had used to walk through the rooms with the estate agent and form a preliminary view without the pressure of someone else's response shaping mine before I had finished forming it. That was the way I approached most significant decisions, get the unmediated impression first, let it settle, then introduce the other variables. The unmediated impression had been immediate and complete. This was the house.I had known it in the entrance hall, standing on the original tiled floor with the January light coming through t

  • Forbidden Desires Daddy's Favorite Sin    CHAPTER 53 The Full Collection

SCARLETTJanuary was for finishing. Not the January of new year energy and resolutions and the performed fresh start that the calendar insisted on. The quiet functional January of someone who had a clear task and the time to do it and wanted nothing from the month except the hours it contained. The flat fabric choices had been made in December, ordered and confirmed and tracked with the methodical attention of someone who understood that the wrong fabric arriving late was the kind of problem that couldn't be solved by working harder, only by having anticipated it correctly in the first place. By the first week of January the materials were in the studio and the toiles were ready to be replaced and the work of turning the concept into its final physical form had begun.I worked in the studio every day.Sometimes from eight in the morning until eight or nine in the evening, the building quieting around me as the afternoon became evening and most of the cohort went home, leaving only the

  • Forbidden Desires Daddy's Favorite Sin    CHAPTER 52 After the Preview

SCARLETTWe went to dinner after, the four of us, Simon and David and Petra and me, somewhere nearby that Simon had found and booked without announcing it beforehand in the way he arranged things that mattered without making the arrangement into a presentation. A small Italian place two streets from the warehouse, the kind of restaurant that had been there long enough to stop trying to be anything other than what it was, good food and reasonable wine and the kind of warm unhurried lighting that made everyone look like the version of themselves they actually were rather than the version they were performing. We arrived still carrying the particular energy of the warehouse, the specific heightened quality of an evening that had gone well and that everyone present knew had gone well and that nobody was quite ready to put down yet. The maître d' showed us to a corner table, which Simon had clearly requested, the kind of table that allowed a conversation to be its own thing rather than som

  • Forbidden Desires Daddy's Favorite Sin    CHAPTER 51 The Industry Event

SCARLETTDr. Anand told us about the industry event on a Monday in December in the way she told us most significant things, without preamble or ceremony, slotted into the seminar agenda between a discussion of portfolio documentation and a reminder about the end of term submission requirements, as though what she was saying was simply information rather than something that would rearrange the next three weeks of two people's lives."The program has been invited to send two students to the Winter Industry Preview," she said, looking at her notes with the composure of someone who had attended enough of these events to understand their significance without needing to perform excitement about them. "It's an informal presentation evening. Industry contacts, buyers, a small number of press. An opportunity to show work in progress to people who matter to the direction of a career."She looked up from her notes. The room had the specific quality of stillness that it produced when something im

  • Forbidden Desires Daddy's Favorite Sin    CHAPTER 50 Threshold Nears

SCARLETT November moved through the campus like weather. The studios got busier, the energy shifting from the exploratory quality of September and October into something more focused and pressured. Deadlines becoming real. Concepts that had lived comfortably in sketchbooks now having to justify themselves in three dimensions. Petra's textile piece had evolved into something genuinely extraordinary, a series of layered panels that changed character completely depending on how light moved through them, which she had achieved through a construction method she had developed herself over six weeks of trial and iteration and the specific stubbornness of someone who refused to accept that what she could see in her head wasn't achievable with her hands. "It's done," she said on a Tuesday, standing back from the finished panels with the expression of someone who had been in a long argument and had finally won it. I stood beside her and looked at it. "Petra," I said. "I know," she said.
