LOGINHe zipped the hoodie up to his chin and covered the upper half of his face with the hood. A large silver knife was in his hands. It was afternoon, but the sky was dark because of the black clouds and heavy downpour.
People around stopped to see what had happened, but they were soon shocked to see the area around him turning red with each passing second. His mobile was still in his other hand. His body jerked a few times before going completely still.
Zehaan’s Room:
“Hey,” Saraya, who was gazing at him, heard VD’s voice. She turned around and found him entering the room.
“He’s six months old, isn’t he?” Saraya asked VD, who was now sitting on the nearby couch.
“How old are you?” Saraya asked.
However, she suddenly realized something. “How do you know my age?” she asked.
Saraya wiped her tears and shook her head. “You know, I was around three when my mother married their father. For thirteen years, I bore their hatred and torture. Austin and Justin used to stand in the corner whenever their father or my mother hit me. They irritated me many times but never raised a hand on me. The day we met in the jungle — that was the first time Austin hit me. I don’t know what happened after that, but they apologized,” Saraya continued.
“They asked for a chance, but I was reluctant because I didn’t want to take a risk. What if they realized again that they hated me? I had planned to leave after my eighteenth birthday, but after seeing their struggle to mend our relationship, I decided to stay. On my birthday night, they came and celebrated with me. But just a few hours later, everything changed,” Saraya paused, tears streaming down her face.
“They wanted me to forgive them — and look, they did something that erased the pain of thirteen years. I was finally getting a genuine bond in the form of my brothers. But now they’re both gone. They didn’t even let me remain angry with them, because they took all my anger away by sacrificing their lives for me and left me drowning in guilt,” she cried.
Vidhant immediately stood and hugged her. Saraya wept incoherently in his arms. Zehaan, seeing her cry, threw away his feeder and crawled toward her.
Saraya looked back and saw Zee sitting there with tears in his eyes. She picked him up and cried harder. Zee also started crying, and Vidhant gathered both of them in his arms, trying to calm them.
“What’s happening?” a voice came, and Saraya saw Raf standing there. She quickly wiped her tears and looked at Zee, who was sniffling and hiding his face in her embrace.
Raf stepped forward and took Zee from her arms. Zehaan snuggled against his neck.
“You will?” Saraya asked.
A small smile touched her lips. “Thank you,” she said, hugging him tightly.
Saraya frowned. “How will I know the way? And where’s my room?”
Saraya’s mouth fell open. “I’m staying beside him?” she thought, quickly shaking off the thought.
“Why do you have a hospital inside the palace?” Saraya asked curiously.
“Are you Mr. Blackthorn’s friend?”
“As if I didn’t know your mother’s Asian,” Vidhant said. “I thought maybe you learned it from her.”
They reached the dining room, where Raf was already sitting, eyes on his phone.
As she glanced at the dishes, she saw one containing eggs. “I like danday (rods) a lot,” she said cheerfully.
Vidhant frowned mid-bite. “Danday? You mean rods?”
Saraya nodded, then froze when she realized who had corrected her.
“You’ll teach me?” Saraya asked eagerly. Raf wanted to deny it, but her bright, hopeful smile made him nod slightly.
After finishing their meal, Saraya looked around the room for the first time. It was another masterpiece. She walked toward the large window, and both Raf and VD watched her.
Saraya stared out at the dark forest beyond. “This palace is in the same jungle near my house, isn’t it?” she asked.
Saraya nodded but then asked again, “VD, were you the one near the jungle calling me the night I was kidnapped?”
“We sent no one that day, nor did I go there. If I had been, I could have saved Austin and Justin,” Vidhant replied, glancing at Raf, who now had a thoughtful look.
“Who was he?” Raf thought.
To be continued…
Mall:-“Mum, I’m hungly (hungry),” Zehaan whined, tugging gently at Saraya’s hand as they stood inside a brightly lit kids’ clothing store. His small face was scrunched in dramatic complaint, as if the world had personally betrayed him by not feeding him immediately.Saraya glanced down at him with an amused smile, holding up a tiny shirt against his frame before putting it back on the rack.“Let’s feed the hungry rats in your tummy,” she replied lightly, bending down to tickle his sides.“Ahh—Mum!” Zehaan burst into giggles, squirming away while still holding onto her hand tightly, as if even laughter couldn’t make him let go.His happiness was simple.Pure.
Later, after breakfast, the mansion slowly split into different currents of activity.Saraya left with Miah and Nicole, their footsteps echoing lightly through the hallway as they headed out for shopping. From the outside, it looked normal—almost peaceful. Three women laughing softly, discussing fabrics, colors, jewelry.Back at the mansion, Rafael stood in his study, his posture rigid, his expression unreadable.“Austin,” he called. The door opened a moment later, and Austin stepped inside. He immediately noticed the others already present—Alex leaning against the wall with crossed arms, Phoenix standing near the window, and Vidhant sitting casually on the couch, though the sharpness in his gaze gave away that he was anything but relaxed. The air felt… charged. Not hostile exactly. But heavy.Expectant.Rafael closed the door behind Austin with a soft click. For a moment, no
Rafael stepped out of the bathroom, the faint mist of steam following him into the room. The air outside felt colder, quieter… almost too still after everything that had just passed between them.He carefully set Saraya down on the floor, his hands lingering on her arms for a moment longer than necessary—as if he needed to make sure she was really there, really standing, really safe.Saraya didn’t move. She stood silently in front of him, her damp hair clinging to her face, her eyes fixed on him as though she was afraid he might disappear if she blinked. There was something fragile in her gaze.Something that hadn’t been there before.Or maybe it had… and he had just learned to recognize it now.Rafael lifted his hand slowly and brushed a strand of hair away from her face. His fingers trembled ever so slightly, but his voice remained steady when he spoke.“Everything will be fine soon,&rdqu
Miah’s Room“How is this?” Miah asked, her voice carrying a mix of excitement and nervousness as she held up the wedding dress in front of herself. The soft fabric shimmered faintly under the warm lights of the room, delicate embroidery tracing along the sleeves like whispered promises.Nicole stepped closer, her fingers brushing gently over the sleeve.“It’s beautiful,” she said softly. Her touch lingered on the fabric for a moment longer than necessary, as if she could feel the weight of what that dress symbolized, love, commitment… and the uncertainty that always followed them.Miah smiled faintly, about to say something more when suddenly—Her expression shifted.
“I thought I’d meet you… and tell you everything,” Austin said after a long, heavy pause, his voice quieter now, like the weight of everything he had just confessed was finally settling into his bones. “But on the way… I saw Hector.”The name alone was enough to tighten every muscle in the room.Austin’s jaw clenched.“He was with Saraya.”Rafael’s head snapped up at that. For a second, just a second, the air shifted again, tension crackling like something about to snap.“I couldn’t control myself,” Austin admitted, his voice rough with restrained anger, guilt laced through every word. “Not after everything. Not after knowing what he’s done to her… w
“He is Austin, Rafael. But a vampire, not a werewolf,” Damon whispered directly into Rafael’s mind, his voice low, heavy, almost reluctant, as if even saying it out loud made it more real.Rafael stilled. For a fraction of a second, everything inside him seemed to stop, his breath, his thoughts, even the slow, steady rhythm of his heart. Then it all came crashing back at once.“What the…?” the words slipped out of his mouth, barely above a whisper. His gaze lifted, slow, disbelieving and landed on Austin.Austin was already looking at him.Not just looking… waiting.Rafael’s jaw tightened.“Hector told Honey Bee that you

“You thought I’d let you go easily?” Hector’s voice echoed through the room, thick with cruelty and twisted triumph. “I worked for years to see this day. And you thought you’d escape from my clutches?”H
“Da-do,” Raf heard a small, broken voice call out.Rafael had been sitting beside the bed, his eyes fixed on his Honey Bee’s sleeping figure as if looking away for even a second might steal her from him again. Her breathing was steady now&m
Flashback:Rafael hunched over the map on the polished oak table, his eyes scanning every detail with an intensity born of fear and urgency. The night outside pressed against the palace walls like a living thing, its darkness echoing the tor
