Asking for Help - Part 1

Why did it have to be me stranded here in the middle of nowhere? This party of Sameera’s had cost me my security. I mean, what if a bear decides to pop out of the jungle? Or worse, what if some kidnappers or stalkers decided I was their target today? I didn’t want to die so soon. I’m only nineteen.

I continued walking along the road, praying to God not to make it rain. That would make everything so much worse.

The road was so silent. Not a single car had passed by in the last ten minutes. I was getting tired of walking.

After five more minutes of walking, I noticed a bus stand in the distance. Finally, some hope. I started dragging myself towards it.

I was close to the bus station when I heard a horn. I started looking around for the source. A car was coming down the road. I got a little excited and started waving frantically and jumped up and down in hopes of getting the attention of the driver.

The car drove past me, and I slumped in disappointment, heaving a sigh. I turned back
