Selene’s POV

I followed the maid who had freed me from the palace aimlessly. I had no idea where we were headed to, she kept mute as we walked in silence.

“We have been working for hours, lady. I need to know where we are heading to,” I saud, my voice calm.

I tried to be polite and calm with her as much as I could.

“Can you just walk in peace?” She fired back, without looking back.

I wasn’t sure about where she was taking me. She expected me to keep following her without uttering a word.

“Why did you let me go? I don’t even know who you are and why you refused to tell me where you are taking me.” I kept pestering her.

I didn’t know and I was not sure that she was someone I could trust with my life. I stopped walking suddenly and folded my arms across my chest.

She kept waking but stopped after a few seconds. She stood for a while as though she was thinking of what to do with me.
