CHAPTER 7

My pulse quickened and heat travelled down my body. His lips brushes my earlobe softly and I suck in my breath sharply. Gary pulls away, leaving me heated up, before sitting between I and Hazel. I clench and unclench my fist so I can stop the erratic way my heart beats. Why the heck is he flirting with me!. I've gotta tell him he should stop, I've barely lasted a month here and I sincerely don't want any scandal.

"Hey Dad!". Hazel squeaks in excitement as she sit up, its obvious she loves her dad. If only he could pay more attention to her.

"How you Hazel." He pecks her on the cheek.

"I'm okay Dad, what you doing here?." She asks as she pours herself a cup of milk.

"I live here." He says and roll his eyes at her. Hazel grins.

"No Dad I meant here in the garden. I can't remember the last time I saw you here dad, it's cos of Lesley right?." She smirks and folds her arm. My cheeks heat up cos am blushing.

Gary chuckles and reaches for the plate of pancakes. He spreads apple syrup o
