Chapter Twenty Seven

I stared at the phone screen for what felt like hours before I finally decided to pick the call up. Whoever it was, I really hoped that the person had a good intention for calling me because if there was one thing I hated, it was picking up strange calls. It always gave me the creeps and I hated to think that I was being followed or something close to that.

There were several reasons why I could have been followed or why I could have been monitored. I knew without doubt the first person who could do something like that to me was Sebastian, and I wouldn't put it past him not to do something like that to me. He had men all over the place, and I knew that he wouldn't hesitate to send them to me just because he wanted to pander to the stupid ego that he had.

"Hello," I said into the phone as I picked the call up.
