Two weeks had gone by in a blink of an eye, it was barely a week to Christmas and the cold had gotten so much worse. The house felt emptier without Mr. Adams and Alexander, though Cassie spoke to them every day, it wasn’t like having them at around. Even Brandon had been coming over more often, trying to keep her company and listen to her new ideas for her new book. Brandon did tell her that Alex and Aaron had been on the edge lately, trying to perfect the launch and everybody had been on their best behavior around them.

Cassie could not relate, she had barely seen them nor had an actual conversation with them. They would leave before she got up and would come back home way after she had gone to bed.
