Serenity and Liam were held up at the hotel the next morning when an emergency situation needed their attention. They left for South LA, in the evening. They met Violet Nelson and her two siblings William and Walter. Serenity liked her instantly. She was very different from the other girls that she'd met. Exquisitely beautiful, young, and innocent, Violet seemed ethereal and angelic. No wonder Lucas had fallen head over heels in love with her.
At first, she was apprehensive about traveling with them to Las Vegas but when she explained to her about Lucas, she agreed.
They reached their mansion by 9:40 at night. Serenity led her towards the backside, to Lucas's building beside the swimming pool, followed by the twins and Liam. A maid ushered them inside. She brought their luggage too inside.
"T
"Hello, Alex?" asked Lucas hesitantly into the phone, when at last someone picked up his call. He hadn't expected Alexander to ever attend to his call but he tried despite the knowledge. He wanted to make amends for the grave crime that he had committed five years back. There was silence on the other end and the steady, heavy breathing confirmed that someone was listening to what he had to say."I'm sorry for everything I ever said to you, dude. It was on the spur of the moment and I didn't mean a thing. I was just angry. I know that words once uttered can never be undone but I really wish I could. When I cooled down, I repented every second for the last five years for everything that I said to you that night. I wanted to apologize. I called you many times since then. Believe me, Alex, I haven't had any best friends since the day you left. But now I think
Alexander's heart started beating rapidly with excitement. Seeing Serenity looking ravishing in a pale lavender gown with a sheer neckline and applique bodice, his determination to steer clear of her crumbled to dust. He stood hypnotized by her all throughout the wedding ceremony and Liam had to nudge him every now and then to remind him of his best man duties. He couldn't take his eyes off her, feeling himself get pulled towards her. She was his magnet and he was like a helpless piece of iron. He had sworn to himself before arriving here that he would just attend the wedding and leave but seeing Serenity again, all his resolutions crumbled to dust. He now had only one wish, to pull her into his arms and kiss her senseless, remind her that she was his, only his.At last, the wedding ceremony was over and the newlyweds and all the guests went to pose
“Oh, sh*t, get a room guys," swore a grinning Liam as he crept into the lobby, interrupting Alexander and Serenity's tender moment. Serenity glared at him with a reddened face while Alexander groaned and left her."Liam, can you disappear for a few days?" Said Alexander feeling pissed off at the grinning Liam."Sure, boss. I'm planning to disappear to Lisa's house for a few days. I think I'm in love," he confessed."Don't you dare, Liam! Her dad and her brother will kill you. She's only seventeen," warned Serenity.Liam pouted, "Okay, after a year then. Oh, before I forget. Alexander, mom's hunting for you. Everyone's having their dinner. Soon there'd be no dinner left, " he informed, pulling a reluctant Alexander along with him to the buffet tabl
Serenity explained everything to Logan as well as the contractor and walked back to her apartment to take a shower and have lunch. She went up to the second floor and unlocked the door. She went inside and locked the door after her."Where did you leave that boyfriend of yours?" Growled Alexander's voice. Was she dreaming or was it really Alexander's voice? She pinched herself and winced in pain. Looking around she stood shocked seeing an angry Alexander sitting on her sofa right in front of her."Lex? How did you get in?" She asked, puzzled. She still couldn't believe that it really was Alexander standing inside her apartment. How did he get in? Did he live in San Francisco? Her mind went into overdrive as a million questions erupted in her head."With the duplicate keys. You didn't answer my question?" He sa
Serenity glared at Alexander who scratched his head with a goofy grin on his face. He looked a little guilty though. Logan on the other hand grinned with relief."So, this is the Alexander that you'd been pining away for?" Asked Logan with a grin."Shhh," said Serenity, blushing furiously as Alexander raised an eyebrow curiously, listening to their conversation."I'm relieved that I'm alive to marry my Jenna at the end of the month," he confessed and Carla inspected his wounds."Let's get you fixed up before Jenna's video call or else she'll blast me," she said, pulling him along with her to fix his wounds. The moment they left Serenity turned towards Alexander."What were you up to, mister?" She glared at h
Serenity was very eager to go back to her apartment. She returned by 4 o'clock in the afternoon and unlocked the door and went inside. Alexander was roaming around in just a pair of sweatpants, riding low. He might have brought more clothes to change into."When did you return?" She asked him, disposing of her jacket."Ten minutes back," he said, coming closer and pulling her into his arms. He nuzzled his face into her neck. "I missed you, Serena." He whispered into her neck, sucking and kissing her neck. She arched her neck giving him more access. She held him tenderly, her fingers weaving and massaging through his hair. He groaned and kissed her more."I missed you too, Lex, " she confessed and he just picked her up and carried her to the bed. She was so addictive that all he thought the whole da
Serenity paid the cab driver and trudged up to the backside of her mansion. It was 9 o'clock at night and her family might have just completed their dinner. Her appetite was gone and she didn't have any wish to face anyone at the moment. Still, she had to inform her parents of her arrival, so she reluctantly walked into the main building, straight to the dining room."Oh, sweetie, you've come back? Sit and have dinner with us, " said her mom, coming forward and hugging her."No, mom. I ate on the flight," she lied. She just needed the privacy of her room."Are you okay? Is your work in San Francisco done or do you need to go back?" Asked her dad."Done, dad. Can we talk tomorrow, please? I'm too tired," she said and everyone stared at her.
Liam returned home from college and decided to call Alexander and demand an explanation first before leaving for his work. He entered his bedroom and closed his door.He dialed Alexander's number and waited for him to pick up the call. After five calls, when he still didn't pick up his phone, Liam gave up and got ready for work. He was already late so he left within fifteen minutes. The rest of the day Liam was too busy with work and everything else escaped from his mind. He returned home dead tired at dinnertime. At the dinner table, a fresher-looking Serenity was sitting down, having her dinner. His dad looked happy and his mom looked very excited."Am I missing something?" He asked everyone."We just informed Harry about Serenity's decision. They're coming over tomorrow evening for the engagemen
