KAYLA POV

The night was a short one as long as I can remember. Sleeping earlier to only realize that I even felt more sleepy when I was supposed to be up for duties. The irony just hit a wild spot that I didn't understand how and why.

I tried to fight off the sleepy mood but it doubled its work intensity. It's a weekday, so I can't be found lacking behind in terms of my work activities. With that little motivation of mine, I raised my upper body and head leaning to my bed.

My memory brought back to the situation where I didn't see Hunter in the company yesterday. It was very odd not seeing him at the reception hall since he made it his tradition to welcome into the office. Since I didn't see him, I tried to contact his colleagues if he was around.
