ログインChapter 5
Selene p.o.v [Sick] I wrapped myself with my blanket. I walked towards my door then slowly I was in the kitchen. My stomach made a loud rumble. I gasped when I saw the clock, my eyes widened “2am!” “Damn, I need to take something before I get worse.” I whispered with a sneeze. I went to the stall and grabbed a bottle of water. I drank it in one go. My breathing seems to increase and I sigh. “Not now please, I can't be sick.” I mummered. I looked at the fridge; there was old pasta and sauce in it. But I wasn't craving it now. I wanted something different. My belly was ranting and not giving space for excuses either. I tried to grab a knife to cut some veggies when I felt a presence. I turned and saw Lucan. He was standing majestically in between the doorway. His hair was loose, hands in his pocket and his eyes looked distant and bored. He was wearing his pajamas and his eyes were on me. I hissed at his presence. He didn't say a word and I scoffed. “I wasn't going to acknowledge his presence either!” I thought. I got down from the stall and walked past him. But he grabbed my wrist, I tried yanking it off but he tightened his hands around it instead. “Let go,” I protested. “Why is your body this hot?” he asked. I rolled my eyes finally letting my hand free. “I'm talking to you, Selene” he demanded, voice husked. “Are you running a fever?”. I wasn't going to tell him. He will start his lecture again and I'm not ready for that. “I'm fine, uncle” “Don't you have work tomorrow? get some sleep–” I said. “I don't feel sleepy,” he said, cutting me off. I sighed. He stepped forward, he put his palm on my neck. His eyes narrowed, glaring at me. “You're sick selene” He stated, voice low with a measured expression. He sat next to me and stared. “N-no I'm not” I denied. “You're shivering.” He stated. I tried getting up but he held me back. “Stay here, are you hungry?” He asked. I wanted to deny it. So badly but my stomach did a loud grumble again. I looked away and he stood up. I heard his footsteps getting shallow in each step. I could still hear him from the kitchen side. After some time he came back with the pasta and sauce. “Go on, eat,” he said sitting next to me. “I don't want to eat this,” I whined. “Why?” He demanded. “Because I don't want to,” I replied. “You have to eat it now so I can give you some medicine,” he said. “No, I don't want to!” I mumbled with a pout. I folded my arms looking the other way. “So spoiled,” he muttered between his breaths. “Then what do you want to eat?” He asked, glaring at me. “Soup” I beamed but I quickly frowned back remembering what he said to me. He sighed, going back to the kitchen. I stayed there still in thought. I walked slowly to the kitchen. I stood there watching him cutting the veggies. His arms were strong and veiny. And damn he looked– “What am I saying?” I yelled at myself. “What are you doing here?” He asked. “Watching you” I replied back with a glare. “Go back, you need to rest,” he said. “No” I shot back. He looked at me like I was the most annoying person on the planet but I didn't care. He thinks he can control everyone. I grabbed another knife cutting some carrots and garlic. “What are you doing selene?. I can do that” he half yelled. “No I want to, you're slow anyway. You should hit the gym, you're getting old.” “If I wait here then food won't get done” I replied, smirking proudly. I knew that would be the best way to let him leave me for now. “What?” “I'm slow, and old huh?” he asked slowly. He dropped the kitchen utensil and faced me. His eyes were bowing into mine. He stepped forward closing the space but I stepped back. He still came forward until there was no space. He leaned in. We were very close. I could hear the beating of his heart, I swallowed. I raised my hands in an effort to push him away but he didn't budge. “What are you doing?” I asked, my breath hitched at the sudden closeness. “You should look at what you're cooking,” I said playfully, still stiffing under his hold. He leaned in and moved his head to my ears “And you should learn some manners or I'll teach you myself–kitten” he whispered darkly. “Kitten-” he literally called me that, I yelled in my head. I remember when he used to call me that when I was little. “What does he mean?” “What's up with this guy?” I asked, my throat tightened. “What just happened?” I said to no one particularly. I stared at him and this time he had already resumed his cooking. I exhaled slowly, gritting my teeth with annoyance. “Now you can get out,” he ordered. “Oh yes I'll” I scoffed. “Fuck him” I whispered between my breath. He turned to me and I rolled my eyes. “Did you just curse me Selene?" He asked. I hissed out and left. I sat back in the dining chair, folding my arms. - - - - - After minutes of waiting he came back with the hot soup. He dropped it in front of me. I took the soup and drank slowly. My eyes widened at the taste of it. It tasted so good and I moaned about it unknowingly. “I'm glad you enjoyed it,” he said beside me. I rolled my eyes. I didn't mean for him to know he tastes good. “Hmmm” I muttered between sips. “Huh? I can't hear you, was that a thank you?” He asked, smirking. I just stared at him, why was he being nice to me? “it doesn't matter anyway” I thought. A hissed escaped my lips and I said “No” quickly, his smile faded instantly but I ignored it. I finished eating, then he brought some medicine for me. I took them all then I mumbled a thank you. “Going just like that?” He asked. “Yes?” I replied. “I don't think so” he murmured and with that..he carried me in a bridal style. His strong arms wrapped around my waist and my upper body. His scent filled my nose and I could feel him looking at me. “W-What!” I screamed. “Let me go” “If you scream too much then you might wake everyone” he whispered, his lips curve up into a genuine smile.Chapter 5Selene p.o.v [Sick]I wrapped myself with my blanket. Chapter 4Selene p.o.v [Dinner]“I can't mom, I don't want to attend” I mumbled slowly. “No way Selene, I want to see you in the next five minutes or I'm blocking your credit card!” she screamed, ending the call. “Oh god classic Italian mom,” I muttered. I felt so broken and I couldn't go back there. I wiped my teary eyes and applied ice packs on them. They were really red and I felt sick. I spent the next thirty-minutes fixing myself. Then I stepped into the house and it was already dark by then. I met my mom and dad with my step uncle and Xavier already in the dining room.I tried walking past them while greeting them but my mom wasn't having it. As soon as she saw me she insisted I stay.“But I want to go freshen up, I promise I'll be back” I begged.“No, come have dinner with us. Your uncle was asking about you” she replied sweetly but I knew she would soon snap. I sat down quietly with a faint smile on my face. I took the seat that was next to Xavier, opposite my step-uncle, Lu
Chapter 3Selene p.o.v[Broken pieces] I followed him to his suite and my eyes kept scanning the room for the surprise. “Babe, where is the surprise you got me, I'm tired of waiting” I said grabbing his arm. The room was neat and clean. There was a kitchen and a balcony nearby. I couldn't help but admire the room. Jace turned to me, smiling weirdly at me. Then he whispered. “Well, the surprise is….you. Now get on the bed.” I laughed, brushing him off. “I know you missed me but I didn't know you missed me that much” I said grinning, lighting the tension. Jace clenched and unclenched his fist. He pressed his eyes shut and sighed heavily. He looked at me, studying me. Then stepped away a little, carefully counting his step. He faced palm himself then he moved towards me. Kneeling to my size, he cupped my face and kissed my forehead. “Are you hiding anything from me?”“You know you can tell me anything,” he said sweetly. His voice was warm, brushing his lips on my cheeks playfully. My
Chapter 2[A love story 2]Selene p.o.vOne year later [present day]I applied my lipstick one last time before leaving my room. Then I stopped mid-step, my eyes returning to the mirror, astonished at my own beauty.I wore a red dress that hugged my body like skin. My hair fell effortlessly down my back, and my heels clicked with every step I took, followed by the cinnamon scent of my perfume lingering in the air.The sweet smell of fresh bacon welcomed me. A smile spread across my face. For a second, I felt the gentle breeze from the windows and hugged myself. I frowned when I heard the noise from my stepbrother’s video game. Just as I thought, Mom was setting the dishes on the table.“Where are you going, dear?” my mom asked, spotting me.“Come help me with dinner. You know your uncle is coming today,” she said sweetly.“You’re going to meet your dumb boyfriend again,” Xavier smirked, stretching his arm out. His eyes sparkled. He gave me a grin that silently screamed another teasing

Your turn.”“Truth or dare?” Jaden asked, pulling me out of my thoughts.I wasn’t sure why I came here, but I knew I needed a break. We were done with our semester exams, so we planned this party for ourselves. The table was filled with old classmates and people I barely knew. The place was neat, and it smelled of alcohol and orange peel. The sound of the music pressed on me, heavy and loud. And the lights blurred faces into shadows.“Truth,” I said, my voice coming out low and careful. I promised myself I wasn’t taking any risks. I only came here because of my friends, Jace and Julie.“Have you kissed before?” Jaden asked with a grin.I gave him an irritated look, then said, “No,” without thinking. What was the point of lying? I asked myself.I could still hear some gasps and murmurs from the table. I knew some wouldn’t believe it
