Veronica was in front of her room window in the afternoon, searching with her eyes left and right for someone, then she sighed desperately and lay on her bed in a mind wandering.

She lives with her parents and a sister who is only five or six years younger in the town of Russia. Her father works as a manager of a small company, and her mother does nothing. Veronica graduated only this year from the nursing department at the university and did not want to start working immediately, so she is staying these months at home.

Veronica sighed, upset that her mother had changed topics and reminded her of what happened yesterday between them.

She exhaled tightly as they entered the room and heard her sister saying,

"My mother says this, and she thinks that you are only friends, so what would happen if she also knew that you are lovebirds too?"

"Okay, but I'm still older than you. Shut up."

She finished their conversation like this and picked up her small bag and went outside.

He replied calmly. "I'll wait for you."

He put his hands into his black coat and walked a little on the street to stop suddenly and look at that girl who is looking with her green eyes left and right, her brown hair falling spontaneously on her back. She appeared as if she was upset and complaining about something. He glimpsed her lips that extended in despair and finally her cheeks emptying air. He doesn't know how many minutes have passed while he stares at her hard.

His thoughts were interrupted by his assistant's voice waving his hand in front of his face with coffee and saying, "Sir, are you here?"

"Is this from here?" he said coldly, his gaze still fixed on her.

The man looked somewhere where his master’s gaze was hanging and said with a stare,

“I don’t know; do you want me to look for her?”

Veronica made her way home, disappointed, until she felt his hands on her shoulder and ran to him, saying with a smile, "What are you looking for?"

I lightly hit him on the shoulder, saying with emotion,

"Where have you been for three days? You haven't appeared! Not at my house, or in the popular market, or in the famous street, and you don't answer my messages. Tell me where you were."

"And your phone? Why don't you answer it?"

She hugged him tightly and said, "I missed you, Peter. I was worried about you."

He hugged her and stroked her hair, saying, "Me too. Now let's go somewhere other than here so that no one will see us."

She shook her head in understanding and grabbed the hand that he held for her to walk away.

Two days later

He said quietly, sitting at his desk.

“So her father is starting to lose his fortunes?”

"Yes, sir, and here you can find out all the other details about it."

He said it and gave him a black file.

He took it from him and started reading it in detail after letting his assistant, Jennifer, go.

"Veronica, then," he whispered in thought before lifting his black hair with his hand back.

Then he stood and took his jacket with him.

"Let's see your father."

Hana opened her window to let the fresh air into her room. She looked at her lazily sleeping sister and said in a loud voice,

Come on, Veronica, wake up.

She rubbed her eyes drowsily. "Why are you waking me up? It's still early."

"It's not early, but you stay up late texting your idiot boyfriend."

"We are idle; it doesn't matter if we stay up late and wake up and die..."

Hana interrupted Veronica's words as she pulled her out of her bed.

Saying, "Go to the company and find out what happens; my parents don't tell us anything."

She exhaled in annoyance, then said, "Do you expect it to be something very important?"

"Yes, otherwise my mother wouldn't be so angry and my father's condition wouldn't have deteriorated."

"I'll go and ask his assistant."

She looked at the entrance to the company, then rubbed her eyes before crossing the street, and when she was about to open it, she felt a hand pull her hard and heard the car whistle loud and close.

I looked and started shivering; it was very close.

She raised her head to see who had saved her. He was wearing a formal suit, and his hair was completely charcoal in color. She saw the coldness in his dark gray eyes, and behind him was a man.

She walked on her way to her father's company, still feeling sleepy. "I wish I had slept earlier."

She didn't know him, but he said to her in a very calm tone,

“Are you okay?”

She nodded silently and spoke coldly, concealing her confusion and nervousness.

"Next time be careful and use the car instead of your feet."

She slipped out of his hands and went rushing while looking at what happened a while ago.

She entered the company and told the reception that she wanted to see her father's assistant; minutes later, he came.

Sitting at a table in the company cafe

Their company wasn't that famous and big, but they could make money from it.

"So Frank, tell me what's going on? And who's trying to steal my father?"

"I don't know if I can tell you the details, but your father got into trouble with a drug dealer and a big con artist as well. Some investors and shareholders withdrew, while some were trying to help him."

She said in a sad tone, "It's unfortunate; I wish my father had been more careful."

She stood and said, "I'll see my father."

Albert put his hands on his head, trying to get a solution to his problem before the police asked him to investigate, as he was an accomplice of a drug dealer without his knowledge.

He knocked on the door, and the secretary appeared.

"Sir, there is someone asking for you."

"I'm not in the mood to see anyone."

They were interrupted by the entry of that young man in his formal suit and his black hair pulled up with a beautiful hairstyle.

And behind him was his assistant. Jennifer

"Good morning, Mr. Albert," he said softly.

"Who are you to enter in this way, and what do you want?" said Albert, surprised.

"Don't you know me? I'm Kris Andrew, son of the biggest investor in the East, Roger Andrew."

He said with a confident smile and extended his hand to him.

Albert quickly followed him and said,

"Excuse me, please take a seat."
