When you were doomed, what could mere sand do to you anyway?Closing her eyes, she rolled around like a child taking advantage of everyone's absence in this part of the beach.Sighing heavily, she thought about Silas. Thinking of him as Silas this time? He gulped but her hand politely landed on his forehead as a frown of concentration made it's way up her forehead. She sighed out as she pulled her hand back. “ The fever is gone I think. ” She mumbled to herself as her eyes closed again. What just happened? Silas was wondering about it. Did she just wake up to see if he had fever and she fell asleep again? He frowned and leaned in toward her to see if she was really sleeping. “ If you kiss me again, I will poison your food for sure. ” She warned with her eye
AUTHOR'S POV Sara watched Silas's face for a moment before she decided to tell him everything. “ My Mom was not like them. She was just like you. A peasant as Lexingtons called her. With the smallest mistakes, she had to suffer. She did a small mistake once. She accidentally spilled juice on one of the Grandfather's great powerful business partner's wife's clothes. ” Sara spoke each word slowly as Silas's guilt grew. He raised his head and looked at her again. “ GrandMother likes to punish people. Get on your knees and stay outside for the whole night, Bow down for hundred times, starve for three days, sit under the sun in hot summer for hours. ” Sara was in a trance, her mind travelling back to the corridors of the past. Memories were painful and having to live them over and over again was undeniably cruel. Silas held his breath back, listening to her. He knew there was something hi
AUTHOR'S POV Silas didn't say anything after listening to her. He kept his mouth shut. Any word uttered to console her would mean, he was pitying her...Atleast, that's what Sara would think. So, he kept his silence. She asked him to eat and he did. She gave him the medicines and he took them silently. Sara's soul had began rotting due to the hatred, vengeance and anger she kept hidden behind this Cold woman facade. The whole day passed and eventually, she disappeared again. That's her way to deal with things. She keeps running away from feelings and reality. The moment she got to know he was feeling better now, she picked up her bag and walked away. Silas stepped out on the ramp and stared at the sea for a while wondering what he should do. It was him who hurt her. Sara's heart skipped a beat. “ You love money. ” She reasoned out as her mind failed to register what was happening anymore. She had mentioned it right? He had some strange hold on her heart. Her heart was always pulling her toward him. “ Ofcourse. Who doesn't love money. ” Silas held his laugh back, seeing Sara's expressions changing drastically. “ But I love you too. Maybe not as much as my money but I still love you. ” Silas teased and leaned in to peck her nose while Sara still stared at him in shock. Sara's face was heating up. What...was he saying? She gazed at him in shock and suspiscion. Suddenly, Silas burst out in laughter and a frown pulled up at Sara's forehead. “ You wer
AUTHOR'S POV “ Why did Grandfather call me back? ” Sara mumbled for the nth time causing Silas to groan out. They both were sitting on the couch side by side after eating their dinner and Sara had been repeating the same thing over and over again. This was getting on Silas's nerves now. “ Why don't you call him and ask? ” He mocked clearly annoyed by her dazed behaviour. “ Really? ” Sara turned to look at him in wonder. Silas blinked his eyes in disbelief. She was too shocked, he thought and shook his head. Sighing out, he pushed himself up from the couch and marched toward the bed to grab a pillow. It was already late and they needed to go back in the early morning because Grandfather Magnus had demanded so. Silas knew why Grandfather Magnus was calling them back. He knew Sara had a hunch too. Her Mr. Devil had acted up to bring her back.
AUTHOR'S POV “ What if I do? What are you going to do? Are you going to kill me? ” He scoffed and his eyes went wide after realising what he just said. Silence fell between them. It was thick, it was suffocating and it was horrible for Silas. Sara's eyes watered up, a specific memory coming back to haunt her. ' Now you are a good girl. ' She could hear a voice whispering in her mind. She could feel the hot, wet blood on her hands too. Folding her arms over her chest, Sara tried to shake off the image from her mind. “ Sara. ” Silas called out to her cautiously and sat up when she didn't say anything for the longest time. He knew what she might be thinking, living right now. “ Don't raise your voice at me... ” Sara warned him and blinked back the tears from her eyes. “ I will kill you if you do. ” Her voice softene
AUTHOR'S POV Sara stared at the clouds they were floating above. It was always mesmerising for her... ...Being in air and away from the world was always mesmerising. She was feeling anxious. What could Grandfather Magnus possibly want from her? “ Are you still not going to talk to me? ” Silas's voice pulled her out of her thoughts and she slowly moved her head to spare him a glance. He was sitting right in front of her with his face supported by his hand. He seemed bored out of his mind. Good, Sara thought. He deserved this after what he said last night. She was just trying to be good to him and he ruined it all by being an ungrateful bitch. Ignoring his puppy eyes, Sara looked back at the fluffy clouds. He had apologized last night, thinking that she was sleeping but she couldn't sleep after what happened between them. She was restless but after h
AUTHOR'S POV “ SARA! ” It was Sara's father who shouted at her before everyone. Sara didn't even spare him a glance. She was busy gazing at Grandfather Magnus emotionlessly. Her hands curled by her side as she gulped. “ You made her do this but it was all for our family business afterall. So what are you going to do now Grandfather? ” Sara's words took a 180 turn surprising everyone including Silas and her father. Silas's heartbeat picked it's speed as he realized the same thing once again... There was nothing good left in Sara anymore. Her soul had rotten away because of Vengeance. Grandfather Magnus didn't say anything. He just sat on his grand chair and stared at his young grandchild - the only one without a mother in their family. In Grandfather Magnus's eyes, Sara was fierce and manipulative. She never said what she was thinking or feeling. Every word which fell out of her mouth was cruel and twisted. She
