Layla’s POV

A soft tap from Drake made me realize I had gotten home.

“Thank you so much, Drake,” I said and gave him a peck.

“ You are most welcome,” Drake replied.

I got out of the vehicle and walked towards the door. Before I could press the bell, the door opened, and Aria ran to hug me.

“Welcome, Mummy,” Aria said

“ Thank you, my baby,” I said, lifting her up

“Welcome home,” Bridget said

“ Thank you,” I said, walking in.

I saw a file on the table and asked what it was about.

“A dispatch brought it later today, saying it was for you,” Bridget responded.

I looked at the file and saw a stamp.

“Why would Ethan send over a file,” I thought.

I opened the file and read its contents.

“This must be a joke,” I said out loud

“What is in it?” Bridget asked

“Look through it,” I said, passing it to her.

I watched as her expression changed.
