Kaylee pov

I stand frozen in my place and just listen to the commotion that's going on outside. Something is breaking and I hear a woman scream again in pain before feet move fast in the hallway.

"Help get her down to a room." I hear the doctor shout when there is a fight going on outside in the hall.

My heart is racing in my chest from the sounds. I know without looking that his beast is loose and out for a kill. I can't stay here is all I know, he will be coming for me. I know he will!

Backing up further away from the door, I find my back against the window and turn my head, and look at it for a moment. Hearing more shouts and running in the hallway when there is a roar that sends a chill down my back.

I know he hurt her, the betas mate. That's why there is a fight going on and the running has to be for her to get her help.

I can't do anything but listen to the sounds and hope she will be alright when I turn my head again and look out the window.
