Chapter 21

Kaylee pov

Falling backward I get time to realize what's going on when my body suddenly hits something hard and pain shoots up from my hip. Rolling my body to the side and all I can think of is the pain when I feel water hit my face.

Turning my head I look to the side and see the waterfall is right next to me and I have landed on a ledge beside the waterfall some bit down from the cliff.

My hip hurts with every movement. Crying out in pain, when I try to move to the back I hear a growling coming from above and turn my head to look that way.

My eyes instantly get connected with his dark ones where he is looking down on me from the cliff. Other faces come into sight when I see them looking over at the edge.

"I think something broke," I say to my wolf while trying to move my body to lay on my back.

"It will heal soon," she encourages me when I have managed to turn. The pain almost leaves me breathless for a moment when I close my eyes and just try to wait it out.
