Dane pov

Walking over to his office, I know we have to tell him some day about what Alora found in the sample she took from his mate. Even if she isn't sure about it and needs to run more tests, the findings could change a lot here.

Stopping outside his office, I see a guard walking down the hallway with fast steps, holding something in his hand.

"Anything wrong?" I ask him when he stops right in front of me.

"Aron forgot his phone in the car earlier, just came here to bring it to him," he says, holding the phone out to me. Grabbing it, he turns around and heads back down the hallway.

Looking at the phone I see there is a notification from the surveillance camera we rigged outside the house where his mate disappeared. We hid it well, and during these weeks, there have only been a few notifications.
