JESSICA’S POV

Today started like any other day should start. The environment was quiet, just some colorful birds chirping on the window. The sun was so bright that it made my eyes squint.

I turned only to find Lucian gone. "Where did he go too?" I thought to myself. I tried listening if the shower was running but nothing. I sat up using the big duvet to cover my naked self.

I don't know but the first thing that came to my mind was "he abandoned me after last night"

Just then I saw something like a piece of paper lying lifeless on the table. I quickly rushed to pick it up with the duvet I tied around my body, making it difficult for me to walk properly.

I picked it up, and it was a letter.

Hi Princess,

I'm sorry I left early, an urgent matter came up and I can't ignore it.

The maid will bring your food, and don't leave the room till I'm back. Take care.
