34~ A delicious meal
Rita perked up the moment her eyes landed on Chris’s tall imposing figure.
‘Gosh! I missed him.’
Oblivious to his anger, she trotted towards him and jumped on him, wrapping her hands around his neck and circling her legs around his torso.
“I missed you husband!!” She squeaked excitedly.
Chris was taken aback by Rita’s enthusiasm. He was caught off guard and stood frozen for a moment but soon recovered and hugged her back. Although his eyes were glaring coldly at the man who was now approaching them, looking awkward.
“Good evening, remember me?” Allister said when he got close making Chris narrow his eyes at him and tighten his hold on Rita. She was his alone.
Chris scoffed, “How could I forget?”
The man was good looking, Chris had to be wary of him, lest he charmed his wife with his silly jokes. Making her laugh herself into a relationship with him.
