54~ Silent treatment
It was later in the evening and Chris had just come back from work. Since Rita had knocked off early, he decided to stay back at the office and work overtime on some projects.
When he entered the master bedroom, he found Rita already asleep on the bed, facing the other side.
With just one glance, Chris could tell that she was pretending to sleep. He shook his head and went to freshen up in the bathroom.
After the much-needed hot shower, he climbed into the bed and moved closer to Rita, wrapping his arms around her. He noticed that she tensed but he didn’t let go.
Chris had found out why she was upset with him. She had found out about what he did in the beginning and he blamed himself for not coming clean earlier. He wished he didn’t hide anything from her, now she was giving him the silent treatment.
