Sienna POV

I drove to my mother’s house with trembling hands gripping the steering wheel so tightly it felt like my fingers might snap, my mind replaying every single word Lucian’s grandfather had thrown at me as if they had carved themselves into my skull, refusing to let me breathe, refusing to let me think straight as the road stretched endlessly ahead of me.

My chest felt tight, suffocating, like the air inside the car had thinned out completely.

“Take this and leave my grandson.”

  • Forced to Marry My Enemy    THE COST OF EVERYTHING

Lucian POV It had been almost two weeks since I last heard from Sienna, and the silence was slowly driving me to a place I didn’t recognize anymore, a place where nothing made sense and nothing felt worth holding onto. I stood in the middle of my office, staring down at the tablet in my hand, my reflection faintly visible on the dark screen as numbers and charts blurred together in a way that made my chest tighten with every passing second. Everything was falling apart. Not gradually, not in a way I could control or manage, but all at once, like something had snapped beneath the surface and dragged everything down with it. The company’s chart had dropped drastically, the once steady rise now replaced with sharp, unforgiving dips that told a story I didn’t want to accept. Petitions were flying in from different departments, complaints stacked on complaints, and employees were leaving faster than I could even process. Investors were pulling out quietly at first, then not so quietly

  • Forced to Marry My Enemy    DOWN AND DAWN

Sienna POV A week had passed, and I was still at the hospital, though the atmosphere around me had softened in a way that almost made it feel like I had stepped into a different version of my life where pain wasn’t constantly sitting at the edge of everything. My mother sat on the chair beside my bed peeling an apple carefully, the skin falling in long curls onto a small plate as she focused like it was the most important task in the world, while Asher sat near the window with one leg crossed over the other, scrolling through his phone with a relaxed expression that made him look almost normal for once. My bed was slightly raised now, my back supported by pillows so I wasn’t fully lying down anymore, as I took a bite of the apple my mother had insisted I finish before she even considered listening to any of my complaints. The room felt almost like home in a strange way, and for a few minutes, I let myself sink into it. I looked at Asher from across the room, chewing slowly before

  • Forced to Marry My Enemy    BETWEEN LIFE AND FEAR

Sienna POVThe beeping sound kept intruding on my subconsciousness, steady and annoying, cutting through the heaviness in my head like something trying to pull me back into a world I wasn’t sure I wanted to return to.There were distant voices too, muffled and unclear, like people talking through water, and I couldn’t make out the words no matter how hard I tried to focus on them.My eyelids felt heavy when I finally tried to open them, blinking slowly as light hit my vision in a harsh blur and everything looked washed out in shapes moving without meaning. My throat felt dry and my body felt weak, like I had been emptied of something important and left behind in pieces. Then I saw my mum. My eyes settled on her weakly and a painful smile tugged at the corner of her lips. She was right beside me almost instantly, her face breaking the moment she saw my eyes open, her hands reached for me like she was afraid I might disappear again if she didn’t hold on fast enough.“Sienna…” she whispe

  • Forced to Marry My Enemy    THE EDGE OF LOSING EVERYTHING

Sienna POVThe first thing I felt was fear clawing its way up my chest as my eyes locked on the pool of blood beneath me, soaking through the sheets, spreading wider with every second like something I couldn’t stop, something I couldn’t control, and my hand moved instinctively to my belly, trembling violently as if I could somehow hold everything together by sheer will alone.“No… no… please…” I whispered shakily, my head moving from side to side as denial surged through me, desperate and fragile, refusing to accept what was happening even as the evidence stared back at me in terrifying clarity. This couldn’t be happening, not now and not like this.A sudden, loud bang echoed against my door, jolting me violently as my body tensed, causing the pain to shoot through my abdomen sharper than before, forcing a strained cry out of my lips.“Sienna!” my mother’s voice came from the other side, panicked and frantic, the doorknob rattling aggressively as she tried to open it. “Sienna, open the

  • Forced to Marry My Enemy    THE WEIGHT OF TRUTH

Lucian POV I paced around my office like a man on the verge of losing his mind, which in fact, I was losing. My fingers dragged harshly through my hair as everything I had just done replayed in relentless loops inside my head, each second making it worse, each memory hitting harder than the last as the reality of it refused to fade. This time, I had no excuse. The first time, I had been drunk, out of control and barely aware of what was happening around me, clinging to a blurred version of reality where I thought I was holding Sienna when I wasn’t, but this time— this time I had been fully aware, fully conscious, fully responsible for every single thing that happened. And I still did it. A bitter laugh slipped out of me as I stopped pacing for a second, my hands dropping to my sides before clenching into fists as frustration and self-loathing twisted deep in my chest. “What the hell is wrong with you?” I muttered under my breath, shaking my head as if I could physically knock se

My chest felt tight, suffocating, like the air inside the car had thinned out completely. “Take this and leave my grandson.” The words echoed again, louder this time, followed closely by the cold, calculated way he had looked at me, like I was nothing more than a problem he intended to erase. The envelope he had placed on the table still burned in my memory, untouched, yet heavy with everything it represented. Money, a damn transaction. As if what I had with Lucian could be reduced to that. I swallowed hard, blinking rapidly as tears blurred my vision, but I forced myself to focus on the road, even though everything ins

  • Forced to Marry My Enemy    A MOMENT OF SOLACE

Lucian POV“Lucian, if you’re standing there judging my cooking again, you can leave my kitchen,” Sienna’s voice called from downstairs.I smiled and walked toward the sound.“It’s my kitchen too,” I replied as I entered, leaning against the doorway. She stood at the counter wearing one of my shirt

Lucian POVAfter leaving Sienna’s door, I walked back to my room and stood for a long time in the dark, staring out at the empty lawn behind the mansion. The house was quiet in the way large houses always were, with too much space and too much silence, causing every sound echoing more than it shoul

  • Forced to Marry My Enemy    THE KISS THAT CHANGED EVERYTHING

Sienna POVFor one suspended second after his lips touched mine, my brain seemed to have stopped working.I had imagined what kissing Lucian Aries might feel like once or twice, usually followed by immediate self-reprimand and a reminder about contracts, rules, and common sense. None of those imagi

Sienna POVI hated that he saw me cry.I could swear I saw him reach out for a hug or something before the elevator door dinged open.As the elevator doors opened onto the private garage, I wiped my face quickly, turning away before Lucian could study me any longer. My breaths still felt uneven wit
