Edrick’s POV

The moment Aria stepped out of the room, I faced my father.

“Why did you call me?” I demanded, slamming my hand on the mahogany desk.

He looked up from his paperwork, irritation etched in every line of his face. “Why do you let yourself go, Edrick? Do you even care about self control and dignity anymore, or are you letting your emotions rule you?”

I clenched my jaw, my pulse racing. “Control? You think I’ve lost control? I’m not losing control. I’m looking for Alina. She’s missing

  • Forced to Marry my Sister’s Fiancée    Halloween Nightmares

Jamie's POVIt was so beautiful. The tall ghosts decorations standing in the darkness.I let go of Clover's mom's hand and ran into the place. I was so excited. But the moment we entered, smoke filled the entire place.Clover slowly slipped away from my hand."Clover?"I turned, but she was nowhere to be found."Clover?""Daddy?" I called.None of them were there. They were nowhere to be found."Daddy?"I kept moving forward."Clover?" I called.None of them answered. Then I saw a door. Maybe they were in there.I walked in.The room was filled with mirrors. There were no walls in the room, just mirrors covering every inch of it. I could see myself everywhere I turned. It was beautiful.I loved my costume even more now. The superhero cape was so amazing. I was so glad they had gotten it for me.I stood there, making beautiful superhero poses and enjoying myself until I saw someone behind me in the reflection.I turned, but no one was there. When I turned back to the mirror, someone w

  • Forced to Marry my Sister’s Fiancée    Horror House

Alina’s POVSince the verdict and the arrest of Edrick's father, my mother, and everyone else involved, it had been nothing but chaos.I hadn't been able to reach Edrick. He was there, physically, but his soul seemed to be somewhere else entirely. He was lost, hurt, and struggling to process everything that had happened. And I could imagine why.It was one thing to be disappointed by a parent who had always failed you. It was another thing entirely to be betrayed by the one you had trusted, the one who had always been there for you. That kind of betrayal cut deeper. Two days passed, and every day, I found myself wondering what I could do to make things better for him. I couldn't take away his pain. I couldn't change what his father had done, and I couldn't give him back the trust he had lost. But I wanted to do something.Anything.The idea didn't come until Lila mentioned Halloween. The kids were talking about it, too, and suddenly, something clicked in my head.I couldn't even rem

  • Forced to Marry my Sister’s Fiancée    Halloween Special

Edrick’s POVI spent the rest of the next two days trying to get used to the fact that my father was no longer part of the family. Trying to digest all that had happened. I still wasn't used to it.I hadn't gone to work. I barely talked to anyone. The only times I spoke to people were during breakfast, lunch, or dinner, or when I said goodnight to the kids and Alina.I felt bad. I knew I was being absent, but I just needed it. I needed the silence. I needed to be alone. On the third day, I woke up and found Alina wasn't beside me. It was unusually early for her to be up, it was Saturday and she wasn't going to work today. I looked around the room, but she wasn't there. I checked the bathroom, she wasn't there either. After taking a shower, I stepped out and immediately noticed something was different.Soft music played in the background.I wondered where it was coming from, as I walked out of the bedroom. I made my way downstairs, and I noticed the difference immediately. The mansi

  • Forced to Marry my Sister’s Fiancée    Let Down yet Again

Edrick’s POVI couldn't believe it.There was a sting in my chest. Not just a sting,it was as if my heart was being ripped apart. Everything I thought was a lie. How could I have been so blind. Such a fool not to see even the slightest signs. How? I looked at my father. He had given up. There was no denial in his eyes as Aria spoke about what he had done seven years ago. He was the one who had arranged Alina's kidnapping.Alina's hold on me tightened. Father's lawyer stood up to blabber some objections and whatnot. But they were overruled.“Forty years in prison,” the judge said. The court case was over. The police dragged my father out, and I didn't even have the heart to look him in the eye.No, I... It's so hard. I felt like I'm going nuts. I found it so hard to breathe. The room was too stuffy. The noise and murmurs made me dizzy. That was not the father I had known my whole life. The man who had cared for me and Anna, who had been there for us when no one else had. This wa

  • Forced to Marry my Sister’s Fiancée    Tongue Loose, spilling poison

Aria’s POV One minute, I was in jail, strategizing about what other crazy things I could do to convince the nurses and the whole prison that I was crazy. The next, I was being escorted into a van, and without any explanation, they drove me to town. I asked and asked, but nobody answered me. I still didn't understand what was happening. Was this part of Dr. Edward's plan? Was his plan finally working? We were back in DL City, and my confusion doubled when they took me to court. The same court where my hearing had taken place. Nobody told me there was a court hearing going on. I didn't even know what was happening. What am I doing here? “What's going on?” I managed to ask the guards. Nobody answered me. Quietly, I followed them into the courtroom. There was a hearing was already ongoing, and it seemed everyone was waiting for someone. As I stepped inside, all eyes turned towards me. Me. I was the someone they had been waiting for. Why? Was I being set with more charges?
