Blake glanced around the house and asked, “Where’s Ma’am?”

Not even his son was at home.

Miss Susan said, “Ma’am brought little Winson out for some sun.”

Blake grunted in reply. When he walked past the dining area, he saw the red invitation cards on the table. He picked one up but did not open it. “Who sent this?”

Miss Susan saw the invitation card, she subtly rolled her eyes white at it. Throughout her entire life, she had never seen someone who was not yet the mistress act so arrogantly as if she was already the mistress.

As a housekeeper, it was inappropriate for her to be a busybody about her boss’s family matters, but she could not hold it back anymore. She said, “Miss Jackson came by earlier to send this. She said it’s an invitation for you and Ma’am to attend her mother’s birthday party.”

Blake frowned when he heard that, and his gaze looked slightly unhappy.

Miss Susan noticed the change in her boss’s expression, so she mustered enough courage and continued, “Sir,
